Our dogs teach us loyalty and unconditional love. If anything, they are closer to God than we are.

Fundamentalists are emphatic that dogs do not go to heaven. Just another reason they disgust me.

Reminds me of the story of the guy and his dog who both died suddenly. They awoke to find themselves walking on a path in the woods. They came to a clearing and there was a figure who looked like St. Peter at the heavenly gates. The guy and his dog approached. "St. Peter" patiently told the guy that, as this was heaven, he would have to leave his dog behind. The guy considered that, refused to leave his loyal hound behind, and they both resumed walking along the path.

After awhile, the two came upon a second clearing, where the real St. Peter welcomed them both into the real heaven. As they were going in, the guy asked who was the guy in the first clearing, then, and what was that placed.

St. Peter told him, "That was the devil, and he was at the gates of hell. He eagerly accepts anyone into hell who would abandon their dog, for that is where they belong."

Words...just words. That has no more meaning than the idiot fundamentalists words IMO. But it makes a nice feel good thing to say to people who've just lost a pet.
.

The OP just lost one of his best friends on this Earth. Take your insensitive, self-important thread crap elsewhere, ass. And take anything else you have to say to me to pm.

I apologize to the OP for thread crapping in his thread. Sorry Naustica, I really do feel bad that you've lost your dog in this way. I've lost many pets over the years and they all hurt.

I'll remove my insensitive posts out of respect for you.

That's all I have to say...shove that in your PM. :|

1st, this isn't Perknose. 2nd, see you in 2 weeks for your rudeness and insensitivity. Totally uncalled for! While it may not be any big deal to you, I'm sure, as anyone who's ever lost a pet is, that Naustica is feeling his loss. Please be more respectful from now on.

Did the neighbor say anything about the car that hit it? That kinda shit always pisses me off when people do something like that then just bounce. I'd like to think they get what they deserve but chances are they just continue driving like pricks without any consequences.

🙁

Very sorry for your loss. Big animal lover here, and it hurts me just as badly every time I lose one.

And Bravo for the banning that took place here, too.
People need to learn there's a time a place for everything and this isn't either.

That story was actually told on an old Twilight Zone episode although I can't recall where it originated ... seen it many times & its a classic.

And to the OP I'm sorry for your loss... 🙁

I'm so sorry man. After reading this read thread I sat down next to my dog Blitz and scratched his head. All I can wish you is better times and give my condolences. 🙁

I'm not a loner by nature, but when I'd rather not deal with the baggage of other people, my dogs save a spot for me on the couch. Dogs are wonderful friends.

I feel for your loss.

My condolences over your loss, at least when he was alive this dog knew
he had a best friend in you too, that's something to be proud of..

Sorry about your loss OP. Every time I read of a loss of a pet I can?t help to think of my own losses. I really hope that there is a rainbow bridge where we meet again.
