Sorry to hear that, OP. I've lost a few dogs over the years, it's a terrible feeling.

For some reason the pic link you posted won't open for me.

I remember when I was a kid our two dogs got out of our yard somehow. One got hit by a car and the other stayed with him until the SPCA came 🙁

Sorry about your loss OP. Every time I read of a loss of a pet I can?t help to think of my own losses. I really hope that there is a rainbow bridge where we meet again.

Sorry for your loss . I love dogs, and have been through what you are dealing with . There isnt much to say other than I feel for you .

I want to thank everyone for their kind words and thoughts. I appreciate it very much although it made me cry even more. 😱 It was strange to wake up this morning and not have the little munchkin jump all over me and to come home from work today and not have him greet me. He was always the first to greet me when I got home.

I had a dream last night where I saw him and his brother Harley jumping and playing in the field. They were jumping and chasing each other. I know he went to a better place and now my dad can enjoy his company.

Thanks to everyone who pmed me well wishes. For some technical reason I seem unable to reply to the pm.

I think it would be good to start thinking about another dog - maybe two. I find that once you have one, another isn't much more work. I'm sure you'll want some more grieving time but I don't think it would be disrespectful to start thinking about it. The possibility of losing another dog is terrible but the idea of not having one is worse. They keep on giving and giving. It'll give you something to look forward to.
