Life is tough all over. Though I would not put the impact of this problem up there with the effects of the African AIDS epidemic

DO YOU LOVE YOUR PARENTS?

You sounding like a realy anti-social person who thinks their parents are only in their way. Give you Dad a friggin hug when he leaves tomorrow and ask him to drive safely.

Feel lucky you even have parents to bitch about

Just before he went to bed I prentended to act like it was no big deal, even though the frustration is still boiling. So to him we are back on good terms.

Do you have any idea how HARD SOME CHILDREN HAVE IT???

GET OVER YOURSELF

Like I said.. Feel lucky you even have Parents who care TO ask you if they can borrow the car they bought you. Some parents might beat you to death if you acted ungrateful

This is their area of the house here and down this hallway past the door is my crib, where I have my office area, my bedroom and my computer room.

You live under their roof = you live with them. It isnt a hotel of somesort. They live their, you live their, you live together under the same roof.

Kao

Yeah well, I have my own area, I "supposedly" have my own car and I usually have my own money, so I am trying to head into the direction of being independent, until something like this comes around.

Heres an idea, if you want to be independent..........MOVE OUT. You obviously dont want to be there, you have your own money so go get your own place. Being independent and helping someone out is different. You need to wake up to reality.

I could move out but I would have to get probably 2 other jobs which wouldn't allow me to continue my education.

Hey, I had to work 2 jobs over the summer and then some work study over the year because my parents can't afford to give me anything (nor would I ask it of them). I live in a house with some buddies, and pay my own way. I am currently doing decent in school.

It can be done, if you aren't a lazy bum :)

I don't mind working, I work around 30 hours a week now but no way would I be getting roomates, I would have to pay full rent since no roomates which would mean I would have to work even more.

Well suck it up then. If you arent going to move out then stop crying about pitty crap. Your parents provide a roof over your head, food, pretty much anything else you would need, paid for 2/3s your car, and pay for your education....yet you have the balls to complain when they actually need something from you?

I thought BS like this was only on television.

And said education is paid for by whom?

By me since currently I am only taking one class and working part time.

And the who made the choice to not want any roommates? You are responsible for the choices you make, so don't go blaming other people for the hardships you put on yourself.

Its not just any class, its a math class and I get about 6 hours of homework a week. Put that on top of my work and that is close to 40 hours a week or close to a full time job. I would have to work probably 60 hours a week to support myself so that would mean I wouldn't be able to take ANY classes.

Maybe instead of, say, wasting time on ATOT, you could be doing your homework?

Your posts lead me to believe one of the following (heck, maybe all of them)

1) You're really joking (I sure as hell hope so)
2) You're the most ungrateful, whiny, spoiled little sh!t that ever walked the face of the earth
3) You really are Jerboy
4) You should be sent to Baghdad as a human shield and wind up with a cruise missile up your arse

How in the HELL would it take you 60 hours a week working to support yourself if you got a small one room apartment? Your run down car get 1 mile to the gallon or what? Eat at $100 fancy diners every night?

I think you should be happy he's bothering to pay you anything to borrow the car. If my Dad needs my car, I grumble a little, that's about it. It's not even like he's not giving you something else to drive while he's using it. This isn't about him paying for 2/3 of it, but as a gift. It's about your Dad wanting to use it, and you being... weird.

haahhahahaha

You take one fricking class and work only 30 hours aweek. You think thats alot? My god, the majority of ppl i know take full semester of classes (4-5) and work 30-40 hours a week. Most even live outside of home, but they have roommates. You make decisions that put you in situations you dont like. Why dont you just work full time, its not like that 1 class is going to kill you and get a place with a few friends or just get some freakin roomates. Or, you can be quiet and live at home and treat your parents with the respect they deserve for giving you so much and try to help them out whenever possible.

Whens the last time you did anything for them out of the kindness of your own heart? Im betting an extremely long long time.

Ok, I don't have a college degree yet, not very much work experience and the job market is pretty tight right now. So just think about what kind of jobs I could get. Not very good ones.

Hmm.... well lets see. I don't have a degree yet. So I sucked it up and worked at McDonalds at grill, AND at a Church as a custodian over the summer.

Then I did dishwashing for work study.

MANY people, taking FULL school loads, get these kinds of jobs and live by themselves. They work, get their degree, and move onto better things. Completely independent of their parents.

This summer I am taking Calculus 3. Next semester I am taking differential equations, linear algebra and discrete functions all at the same time. You can imagine how many hours of homework I am going to have. As for working over the summer? Forget it, the summer courses are too intense.
