You probably put that on it in 1 weekend.
AND, his 140 miles are probably alot less stressful on the engine then your 140 miles.

Also, considering an average engine should easily last 130,000 miles with regular routine mainenence, just how bad is that 140 miles.

Sounds to me like someone is spoiled.

Not really, I offered him $150 so he could get a rental car or a cab, but he refused. THAT is how much I hate people using my car.

Well, don't let him use it.

Go get him the rental car and give him the keys to it.

I would but I'm not 21. Rental companies don't rent to anyone under the age of 21. They are very anal.

No, they are very wise ;)

then you're getting industry standard for mileage. quit bitching. unless you drive some ferrari which is $$/mile, in which case you should quit bitching too because its obvious you didn't buy it.

eh, hes paying about the industry standard for mileage. and is he paying for the gas too?

No, I paid for the gas that is in the tank. His boss is reimbursing him for the trip and I am trying to get him to give me that money too.

Aren't you the guy who keeps all his money stuffed in his mattress and thinks banks are evil? After reading this thread, it makes sense. You're the next unabomber.

No, actually I have a checking account. But I never use ATMs that aren't my bank's and I don't write checks, I just use the check card they gave me.

I got it used and it cost $3,000. I paid $1,000 of that and offered to pay back the rest but my parents didn't want me to.

I think you're over reacting. I've gotten reimbursed less from some jobs I've done for mileage. Don't complain, $50 for mileage is fair, and should cover gas and wear and tear.

The fact that you're griping about your father borrowing your car while he's giving you a operating replacement is silly. You live in their house, you can help out once and a while. If driving a dorky mini-van is your biggest problem you've got it pretty good.

Because he is my dad and that would be messed up. We just had a big argument over it because I asked him if he could get a rental or a cab with the $150 I offered and he got upset so I just gave him the keys. He is in the other room reading a book now.

So your parents paid for 2/3 of your car and you have the nerve to charge them $50 to drive it? :disgust:

FVCK IT..

How many times did you puke on your parents sh!t
How many times have you caused your parents to feel TOTALLY stressed out
How many times did you pee the bed.

Life is too short to worry about the damn car.

Have you ever borrowed anything from your dad? Money? Car? Room and board?

If my dad asked to borrow my car, I wouldn't hesitate. And yes, I'd refuse the $150.

How selfish can you be???

Yeah well to put this in perspective I loaned my car to my mom once and when she came back my car was loaded with trash because she drove my bratty brother and some kid around in it and they ate in my car. It really sucked.

What amazes me even more, is that he even posted this thread. If I were that much of an ungrateful son, I surely wouldn't be telling everyone.

I'm surprised that you didn't sue her for the cleaning fee.

Same house unfortunately. He won't pay my rent for an apartment like he did for my sister when she was in college. :disgust:
Fortunately it is a pretty big house so I just chill in my wing and my parents are in the other wing.

You're worse than Jerboy. Maybe he should charge you rent, or kick you out, and not borrow your car that he paid for? How about that?
