I did it last night, go through 21 of the 25 DL @ 275. I'll try again Saturday, really want to see finish those DLs

Nice! My 1RM is somewhere around 315 and I was so worked from all the previous rounds I don't know if I would have been able to get more than 1 even with another minute of rest.

I don't crossfit, but it does look cool. You did 30 reps with 315?

Nah, I was only able to finish the 20 reps at 225# (and then the 15 box jumps). In the next round, when I tried to lift the 275# I couldn't even get 1 rep done. The 315# came in the round after that one.

For clarity, I finished 90 reps so this is what I actually completed in the 8 minutes:

10 deadlift 135#
+ 15 box jumps 24" box
+ 15 deadlift 185#
+ 15 box jumps 24" box
+ 20 deadlift 225#
+ 15 box jumps 24" box

= 90 reps

The owner of our gym was able to get the first 4 reps at the 315# weight (so he finished all 25 reps at 275# and then the 15 box jumps and was able to get a few in at the next weight). So his score was 134:

I never got around to it. The Friday evening 7pm class was cancelled so I missed that opportunity. There's an open gym this Thursday so I might try it then but after doing the thrusters today at an even lighter weight I'm not looking forward to the thought ;). I heard it was bad.

Were you able to try it?

I did...sorta -- 75lbs for thrusters and regular burpees instead of over-the-bar

It all went downhill in the middle of the 18-rep round

(josh bridges won with a time of 7:49 -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84RFpiSw0RA )

I was thinking it would take me around 18 minutes with the 95# and over-the-bar burpees but with the way the thrusters killed me today at 75# I'm wondering if it will take even longer.

Did you do the 21 round unbroken on the thrusters?

21-round did go unbroken on the thrusters. (i can usually do fran rx'd unbroken on the first round as well, so i figured "what the hell, do these straight thru as well.)

subsequent rounds were broken into thirds 6/6/6 , 5/5/5....

burpees were 2 or 3 at a time and looking miserably at the floor in between :D
