My car reached <ANOTHER> milestone today [PICTS]

My '98 Chevy Cavalier crossed the 100,000 mile marker a few weeks ago.

My '91 Chevy Cavalier had appx. 223,000 miles on it when I traded it in for the '98.

I hope the '98 lasts as long as the '91.

Congrats!! 😀

My 1995 Dodge Caravan, which I bought new, has 118,634 miles on it, so what is your point?

It also burns I Qt. of oil every 4000 miles.

I hit 100,000 on my car last week. It's only 4 years old. 🙁

Edit: My wife reminded me that it was week before last. There are 101,000 miles now.

Yes it still runs great except for the passenger's side UNLOCK ALL button doesn't unlock all the doors like it should. The weird thing is the LOCK ALL still works but the UNLOCK ALL does not.

How much would this cost to fix?

Shouldn't cost that much

How much do you guess it will cost for parts & labor?

I wonder if it's even worth fixing, the drivers side works just fine and the key still opens the passenger door ok.

Hey, you have a full tank of gas too 🙂

My old Honda Accord had about 150K over 10 years ('88 to '98) on it before it died... but that was a while ago.

You're supposed to change your oil every 3 months or 3000 miles. Going over 4000 miles w/o a change will ensure you many costly trips to the garage.

the switch probably just has dust on it, some of that air in a can might be able to fix it.

your only 130,000 away from my '87 accord

Actually that's not a bad idea, when you press the button it CLICKS like it should but nothing happens. Maybe there's some dust/gunk in there preventing a solid connection? I'll get some air in a can and spray the sh!t out of it.

I saw a nice late 80's Honda Accord hatchback today, the owner took really good care of it. Ran beautifully.

<<your [sic] only 130,000 away from my '87 accord>>

And only 109,000 away from my '88 Accord. Doesn't burn any measureable amount of oil yet either. (Yes, all the engine internals are original.)

How the hell do you put 100k miles on a '98 model car??? Do you drive to the moon and back???

RossMAN about your window locking...my friend's '88 Camry has similar problems..we opened up the box with the buttons and tried cleaning the contacts..didn't work...well it kinda did..

wow, i can honestly say i've never seen such a bare instrument cluster. temp, fuel and spedo. congrats on the miles though 🙂
