If I knew how to blur out the digits I'd take a pict of all my credit cards and post it.

We have two Volvos:

1985 740 GLE: 238000 miles (His)
1982 240 DL: 206000 miles (Hers)

Every so often I'm tempted to replace one or both of them but they're still running as strong as ever ... and we haven't had a car payment in over 10 years. :D

Dan - That's what I love about Toyota/Honda/Volvo they seem to run forever if you take good care of them.

I was considering getting a Volvo S40 CostCo was offering for around $23,600 seems loaded with features for about the price of a Honda Accord EX V6.

my moms old 86 Celebrity Eurosport had 293,000 kms and running strong before a deer took the car down with it :(
my 88 LeBaron GTS had 256,000 when i traded it in on my 2001 Neon R/T.

mileage like that is nothing anymore.. cars can do it pretty easily. :)

<< I thought you wre buying a new one Rossman. >>

I was on the virge of signing papers for a 2002 Honda Accord LX until the dealer screwed me over.

In retrospect I'm glad they did that, now I have time to pay off some debt and buy the new redesigned 2003 Honda Accord later this year. If they hadn't lied to me I'd have an Accord in my parking lot.

The Hyundai was appealing because you get a lot of bang for your buck. I know a car isn't an investment but it's not something I want to lose a lot of money on either.

Maybe if the Elantra had a proven 10 year track record, better build quality/durability/reliability _AND_ crash test results then I'd buy it.
