My bro is in mexican jail, help! (edit) with final news

dude....im am being serious....CASH is your best bet...i have, well fiends have been in same situation...im not kidding man.....round up as much green as you can

My dad and I were in Costa Rica about ten years ago and one of the "police" officers saw us in our rental and tried to pull us over, we figured he was going to shake us down too. My dad promptly lost him, lol.

Our flight on the way down stopped in Honduras, that was interesting...

About 12 years before my father died, he was arrested and imprisoned down there. After the police and guards finished with him, the other prisoners started in. Beatings, dunking his head in an unflushed toilet and pulling his hair out was about all he ever conveyed to me.

Cash + native speakers/Tex-Mex friends are highly advised. And HURRY! I'm serious.

Man oh man...true story...

Guy lived in Arizona and traveled by car to Mexico for business on a regular basis in his personal auto. He was an avid target shooter.

While in Mexico he found a live 45ACP pistil round on his floor board. Knowing the laws regarding this he went to a local Police Station and gave it to them.

They threw him in jail and last I heard his wife had spent 20 or 30 thousand bucks trying too get him out. Last I heard he was still in jail!

Good friggin luck...:|

There is no more corrupt system of Government on this earth than Mexico's!

and he didn't just throw it out the window or in the trash because?

Many folks are honest.....

I'm all about honesty, but in a place where the cops obviously aren't, exceptions can be made. Sad story nonetheless.

<< Well anyway,

They say he tore up a scooter he rented, he didnt. They just wanted to swindle him outta 400$.
Ive wired him the money to get out, but he was shot @ and got his ass kicked by the mexican police
How do i get ahold of the american embassy, or consinlon

You need money. Lots of money. Thats part of the game... You brother obviously did something to piss off the locals. Maybe it was a bad or "rich" attitude. Whatever it was was enough. If you go down there and do as the natives do, you'll be ok. If you go down there and act like a middle class American your fvcked.

how come the government didnt try to get him out? remember that one dude who went to mexico to get drugs cheap because of a sickness he had? mexico busted him and accused him of being a drug dealer...and all the time he was turning paler and paler. the US gov got him out

i've heard the same thing. my friends tried calling lawyers and different people trying to figure out what to do. the only solution was cash. they ended up paying 6,000 dollars.

You have to bribe him out. Always been that way. If you don't he could be there for 6+ months.
Do what you have to. And if you go down there, do NOT drive.

Dude, that's some $h!t. Sorry to say but cash is a good way out of this.

He definately did something to piss off the cops there. I've been to other 3rd world countries, mostly China and Vietnam, and if you act cool with them and treat them with respect, they usually are reasonable and leave you alone. They understand you're a foreigner with money but don't show it off to the cops. If they are hard pressed to write you for something, then comes time to bribe them.

I had to bribe Vietnamese cops with $ when I was caught driving drunk there. 🙂 Man, was I wasted. 😉

Reality check: what makes sense or what's "right" does NOT apply. Forget it. Either you do it their way or you stay.
End of story.
