Well if the Head Mukimuk of Islam were to say that Jesus was a Queer and prefered the company of other men over women you can bet your ass the Christians would rage over it. The reason Muslims are more vocal is that there are more real practioners among their ranks than there are of Christians. Sure there are more Christians in the world but most of them are just Christians on Sunday and don't follow their religion to the word like Muslims do which IMO make Christians more benevolent.

The thing is that the pope didn't say that Muhammed was gay; he was quoting someone from 1,000 years ago, questioning the benefit that Muhammed brought to the world.

And yes, it seems that the they are saying bad enough things in the Muslim world: Ayatollah Janati Calls Non-Muslims Animals. That is a direct attack on every non-muslim, which essentially dehumanizes them, and makes it quite an easy step from there to arguing that they are a valid target for terrorism.

The thing is most Americans don't give a sh!t what the Muslims think about us because as a whole we probably think even less of them. It's not because of their race or even their religion but of their actions over the last few decades. To most Americans they are barbaric and uncivilized and at most they are tolerated. When one of them gets on a Bus here in Boston you can see the other passengers look them over, especially if they are carring some kind of luggage, backpack or anything of the sort. This is probably due to the Media which bombards us nightly with news of the atrocities commited in the name of Islam.

IMO the Muslims here in the US are not doing themselves any favor by not being more vocal in their condemnation of these terrorists which causes Americans to cast a suspicious eye towards them. Now you may ask what can they do to be more vocal, well large scale demonstrations against these Muslim Terrorists would be a good start. Put themselves on the line and stop being frightened by being labled by the Radical Islamists. Stop protecting those who would wish to do are nation harm. Until they step up and start acting like Americans who just happen to be Muslims instead of Muslims who just happen to be in America, Americans will always be suspicious of them.

I'm sure that's true, and many people think little of them, but ignoring them is not a wise action to take -- it is one thing to think little of a barbarian with a sword, while it's a totally different matter of thinking little of a barbarian with a nuke; the latter is practically suicidal.
The latest conflict in Lebanon demonstrated how many radicals are around, by the number of pro-Hezbollah supporters that poped-up overnight. However, that shouldn't come as a surprise, given all the money Saudis have been splurging in building mosques and promoting their vile ideology.
If Europe is indicative in any way (Tamimi: "We Are Muslims in Europe, Not European Muslims"), then everyone should be worried.

The single greatest mistake that the Europeans made in dealing with the Muslim hordes was that they encouraged mutli-culturism wherein Muslims were made to feel that their backward, retrograde mindset is OK because it is a "freedom" issue. The U.S. must not make this mistake and force them to water down the religious aspect of their lives and strengthen the societal aspect. Else the U.S. will pay for it like Europe is now.
