There are so many examples of Muslims condemning terrorism. You must receive news from multiple sources. The media promotes sensationalism but the truth is usually not hard to find if you look.

The only reason why Muslims are not as a group completely terrible is because the vast majority choose to ignore the violent and brutal parts of the Quran. That's the good news.

The bad news is that the Quran can never be upgraded and some people think it's the literal word of God as told by the Prophet. There are always hardcore fundamentalists in every religion but Islam is by far the worst as they literally believe the Quran word for word, and those moron fundamentalists can thus be used as weapons by warmongers.

It's like, imagine that the world has several major and minor mobile phone OSes: Blackberry, iOS, Android, Windows, Symbian, Firefox OS, WebOS, etc. Now imagine that one of them (say, WebOS) can never legally (under the WebOS license) be upgraded from version 1.0 and that 1.0 was written 1400 years ago. That's Islam.

Sure, people can and have "forked" from the original 1.0, but there is a hardcore, militant group that believes that 1.0 should always remain "pure" and that any attempt to change it is a blasphemous "innovation" to be met with violence. So they attack anyone who tries to fork from 1.0, and also try to convert users from other operating systems.

Back to OP: If true, it's not a good thing to discriminate against Muslims in this way. It just stirs resentment and is not persuasive at getting people to drop WebOS. And the Pew poll didn't even survey the more hardcore places like Saudi Arabia, which would have even higher %.

For the record I believe most Muslims are good people, but DESPITE their cult (it is a cult of personality, let's be real here, the whole Mohammed-can-do-no-wrong-and-represents-the-word-of-God-and-his-Quran-is-the-infallible-and-literal-word-of-God thing is exactly like a cult), not BECAUSE of it. And even the "good" parts of the Islam are mostly stolen from the predecessor Abrahamic religions.

The Jesuits claim they are responsible for all of muslim terrorisms because they claim that thousands of years ago their very own people/followers were the ones who created the muslim faith because those other non jews were jealous of the jewish religion for all they had.

I see this poll and it shows that a majority Indonesians are for death of those who leave Islam and sharia law. They must have spoken with people in the only province that practices a strict form of Islam (North Aceh), it's also the only province in Indonesia that practices sharia law. All of those I've ever worked with in Indonesia were strongly against having sharia law. I have to think this is why 32 of the 33 provinces do not have sharia law.

Anyway, SE Asia is more than just Indonesia; there's also Malaysia and a few other places like Brunei. And if you look at what's been going on there, they've been taking a turn for the more conservative, such as:

We know "something" happened, but we have no clue what, or if it was anything wrong at all. All we have is one womans claims.

I'll preface my comments with the fact that I'm not an expert on Indonesia, but don't they have essentially de-facto sharia law for muslims there? I thought there were religious courts and civil courts, and that religious courts have jurisdictions over a bunch of stuff for muslims. So in effect, Aceh has full sharia law, while the rest is somewhat of hybrid sharia law setup. I don't think the Pew research went into that much detail, but the gist of the polling is that the vast majority of people support religious (sharia) law in one form or another.

Sharia means different things to different people, and you also seem to have an impossibly optimistic viewpoint of how politics and laws work. There are so many oppressive regimes now and throughout history that it's actually the exception when laws accurately and quickly reflect what people want. In places like the US there is so much gridlock that it can take literally decades to move on certain topics because nobody can agree on even the definitions.

The same way Catholics, Anglicans, Jews, Presbyterians, Hindus etc all support their religious laws and courts.
