I got a new host for my files. This should work out better than Soundclick. I put together a little bit better version of the track using JR's 6/8 drumtrack. I'll get the links to the seperate parts to Platypus tommorrow or the next day.

Includes Drums/Bass/couple acoustic guitars/electric guitar

I could go dig out my Trombone if someone wrote the music to play. Haven't played it in a looong time though... heh

you guys need to figure out how to pan your signals. there is currently one guitar in left and one in right, then the drums and bass are both paned center. edit: for the song in the repository.

One of the funniest mixes I've heard was a tune where the entire mix was panned left and right in an oscillating pattern.

Sounds great to me! I haven't really seen a good opening for my trumpet in this project yet.

Man I've been so busy as of late. Don't think I forgot about you Platypus. a week from right now I will have nothing to do but drink beer, smoke cigars (or chew), and lay down some basslines.

Guys what's the story here?

There is a huge list of volunteers and a very small list of contributers so far....

I'm a loser :( I learned how to use my new copy of Cakewalk with my Guitarport, and STILL haven't recorded anything. Just too lazy.

I'll force myself to lay something down this week.

I've got an alesis micron if you want synths, also a recently upgraded reason 4 with a bunch of refills (korg triton, yamaha motif, waldorf microwave xt, alesis quadrasynth, Virus Ti, etc)

I play drums as well but don't have any immediately viable way to record.

Anything you guys want to contribute is fine with me.. but so far we have one tune put together and about 4 contributers out of that huge list on the first page.

Let's pick a song and get on it. I vote for zep and say we just jam it out to let everyone get a piece of the action.

I'm more of a who fan myself, but I love zeppelin too. In the meanwhile, I'll add a synth part to the blues jam we've already got going.

I just brought my bass out to my new place, hopefully it'll be set to record by this weekend.

Here's a little something to jam with along the lines of Stranglehold. I slowed down the Tempo to JR's 4/4 drum track a little and added a rhythm guitar + Bass.

well, you went silent on my offer to contribute jaw harp virtuoso tracks, so I've boycotted this thread since its inception

:(

I just recorded a ten minute jam with a couple synths and sequencers running off my bass. Turned out pretty well. I'm all set to jam to some drum tracks.

I'm a bad, bad man :(
The only time I've picked up a guitar in the last month is for band practice.

I had a little time this morning so I took another shot:

Here's a frentic number featuring JoLLyRoGer on the drums and Me on the guitars, hopefully a little better effort this time around.

thanks RB, can't wait to check it out.

I think we should just start doing new stuff and if people want to contribute they can. I have no idea why so many people signed up and bailed though.. lol.
