I'd be down for some zep though I don't have a 12 string or an acoustic so maybe I could sit that one out or maybe we could do something with some LP loving on it :)

I'd be down with lemon song, black dog, since I've been loving you, etc.

If JR wants to tackle moby dick I'd be down for that too LOL :D

I added a little electric slide, rhythm guitar to the mix. I upped it to my Soundclick page.

It's pretty basic and I chopped the end of the song at the end of Platypus's solo. It's basically just to see if you like the sound (if I'm on the right track?), and if we want to continue on the finish this piece or scrap it.

I think it might be worth finishing up so we get a feel for the whole process if nothing else. The tracks need some work, so re-recording the tracks after we decide which pieces to keep would probably be needed.

I've had an idea for the Rain Song for years...just nobody to do it with.

I could do the acoustic work since I'm very familiar with the song, but the arrangement I was thinking of is an electric guitar doing the voice part, bass, and a synth for the organ part- then horns kicking in on the "heavy" part. HEAVY drums and power chords would augment.

I'm not sure we could pull this off though because it's a bit complicated. If Since I've Been Loving You, Black Dog, Rock n Roll, or The Lemon Song, or even You Shook Me are up for grabs, pick one- I can do 'em all :D

So long as we're throwing out covers... I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to try and pull off Baba O'Riley by The Who - Best song ever recored by anyone...Period (IMHO)!

I've never been in a real band that had all the right instrumentation to do all the orchestrations in that song but with all the people here on ATOT, I'm sure there are enough diversified musicians to pull it off!!

I upped an alternative to the blues song using JoLLyRoGer's 4/4 drumtrack.

It's on my Soundclick page, titled "ATOTalt.mp3"

I'm limited to 128 kbps, so I'll have to figure something different for upping my tracks, but it gives the idea.

I included JR's Drum track, a Bass track and a rhythm track. Its all mixed down, but I have the seperate tracks.

Thanks, Well. I'm not in love with my slide guitar part, but I think something along those lines could work pretty good...I just wanted to throw something up...anything :).

The other track I like a bit better myself. It's more my style for playing a lead over.

Nah just PM me a link to the mp3 and I'll tag it and upload it. I did listen, very nice

It complemented my playing, really dug it on the parts that were Bm - A where I left the middle out and let the bass do that, it sounded really cool.

I worked on a little number using JoLLyRoGer's 6/8 drum track. It includes Bass, a drone lead and a couple acoustic guitars.

Its a bit rough in places and repetitive (I pretty much just whipped it out this morning), but I think it also has some merit.

Its on my Soundclick page, name: "68.mp3"

JR when can you start tracking more drums?

I sent you a couple links (mixes) I'll send you links for individual tracks later.

Yea, its a pleasure working with real drums :) Nice job JR! I don't play in a band, so I'm totally used to starting with a MIDI drum track and working my way up. Usually a rhythm guitar after drums, then I add the Bass...and then the rest....

I've left all my recording gear set up so I can track stuff at a moment's notice (well, almost..)

What did you have in mind?

Yea, I love that groove...thanks! I had a TON of mistakes right out the chute, so its going to need new tracks for sure.

The progression is kinda "House of the rising sun" meets We'll burn the sky", Em>G>Csus>Bsus..something, and then the same thing with Em>G up an octave for the change. Thats it, pretty simple.

I can really tear it up with rectified wah lead, so it should be a fun one to play around with.

Thanks! I'm having alot of fun myself.

I sent a PM to Platypus with files for the 4/4 track in case anyone wants to pursue that one.

I'm going to work on getting some cleaner tracks for the 6/8 track. Some of the flat notes and poor bends are making me cringe. As soon as I get them worked out better I'll send them to Platypus. Hopefully within the next day or so.

So, do I have this correct in that the other musicians could tackle any of the tracks and up their version for any/all of this stuff? I'm not the most technically gifted player, so they could certainly be improved upon :)

also, I'm holding back lead guitar tracks so I can hear what some of the other guitarist come up with for the tracks I've added Bass and Rhythm to. Would it be better to just include them?

Also, is it cool to link up these rougher versions first, or should I get them more polished before you guys want to hear them?
