I was running Cubase for this setup and monitoring through headphones. 7 piece CAD mic set into a Yamaha 12 channel board out to another Yamaha board that I used to add some slight reverb via it's on-board FX processor out to a BBE882i Sonic Maximizer, into a Tascam US-488 DAW controller running Cubase on my PC.

I can actually hear the click track while I'm monitoring my drums through with it but I still seem to loose track of it no matter what. The best I can figure is that I get right on top of it and must just start tuning it out after a while because I literally stop hearing it.

C'est La Vie; I've always struggled with it.

DarkThinker brought up a good idea, is there any AT'er willing to donate some hosting space/bandwidth to store these files? I am willing to maintain said account and users can PM me their files hosted elsewhere

It'll be recorded and up tonight. Guaranteed. I just woke up because I was busy as hell at work last night. After I do some grocery shopping and eat and everything I'll lay it down.

Finally had time to PM Platypus a couple of String Synth samples which isn't much but it's something to start with, but I also included a sample from my upcoming track project which I hope you guys like :)

I PM'd Platypus the 4/4 tracks already so they should be up whenever he puts them up.

I think I could have done better but Im always critical about what I record. I think itd be cool if we could do covers or something as well since we all have a better idea of what we'd play than just inventing the wheel on our own. Both have their good sides and bad.

LOL- I just gave it a listen. It sounds like funky Halloween music. Cool! :D I'll see what I can add to it tonight.

Good job Marty, I like the groove a lot, should yield some interesting results.

Off the top of my head I want to do maybe a slow/drawn out line of chords to fill in the spaces and let the bass do the walking but I might change that when I can actually jam along with the track a bit more. I'm impressed so far with the results, thanks to you MM and JR once more for getting us started

I loved the bass marty, good stuff, and hehe at some points (1:30-1:38 & 3:01-3:15) it sounded like something from a DOOM level theme :D

Now I know the aim of this project is to produce a Track from many members. But are we limited to one track of one genre? Or can each group of members do their own genre?

The only problem I have right now is that I don't know what to contribute exactly without taking you guys of course.
So perhaps someone can suggest me some sound or beat that I can make for the current track that would fit but still be in my area of expertise.

We'll get to that...we're just making the simplest song we can for a "proof of concept". If you can't do anything right now, that's cool. We'll get to you later :)

Cool beans, I really want to dive into this one.

Guitar guys, what are your thoughts on choice of axes? I was thinking of going with a les paul on this track and maybe a fuzz but I definitely want to use a tele on the 6/8 one.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The 6/8 is more of a twangy beat (maybe an Elvis Mystery Train rhythm to go with it :) ). I've got a Yardbox I'm going to use on my LP for the 4/4. I have a couple of ideas for some blues riffs that should work.
