I have been trying to get in shape for the last few months. I've been going out and jogging a mile a few times a week, and I'm starting to get used to it and get over the initial hurdles of building up muscle mass. However, last week I started dieting to help lose weight, and I lost 4 pounds in a week. Now my thigh on my left side feels spongy started happening yesterday. Like if I push on it or move it much it feels like I can feel the blood squirting in and out of the muscle as if you were squeezing a wet sponge.
Is this normal for working up leg strength or is this due to dieting and my diet is eating away at the muscle? It has me worried because I hope its not a blood clot or anything. I'm hoping those who have more experience may be able to shed some light on the situation before I am forced to go to the doctor (no insurance here).
Thanks for any feedback anybody can provide.
