All the kids have school tomorrow. The attack seems to have ended...just got done with a good 4 solid hours of COD4 myself.

I would imagine if the problem was simply capacity that it would've been fixed by now. They've had plenty of time to get their shipment in from newegg to build new servers 😛. Seriously, though, I'm sure the system was built on scalability, where they could just hook in new servers to the system to add capacity. Something else has to be wrong, they wouldn't be dragging their feet on something so simple.

You can't forget the fact that it has a kabillion add-on packs that bring the price up to around $20-30! I :heart: Lumines quite a bit (my favorite puzzle game), but it's just so pricey.
No! I already have that 😛. Although I'd like if my family could get that for free so they could play with me.
The WoW armory hasn't worked for around 2 weeks now. WoW servers have been seeing queues again as well. Although they aren't nearly as bad as they used to be back in the day.
You know what I like? Free stuff as compensation to make up for mistakes. I like it even more when that compensation holds a much larger value that what I lost.
You know what I also like? The fact that I am a very patient individual who understands that all the money and resources in the world are sometimes just not enough to fix certain problems extremely quickly. Being this patient has saved me many headaches and it will probably extend my life several years after considering the amount of stress that I am avoiding for being this way.
You guys can say and feel whatever you wish, but you may want to consider both of those things for this situation. I am sure there are much more pressing issues in your lives to concentrate your energies on. Learn to choose your battles.

running a buisness is america is getting harder by the minute. everytime screw up get hit by a ridiculous law suit. regardless of whether it'll be thrown out or not it still costs the company money

Not really. My plans over the holiday period, which involved almost 2 weeks of holiday paid time off work, pretty much revolved around night time activities and playing xbox live during the day. Let's just say this was the absolute worst time for Live not to work for me.
Now I'm back at work and don't even really care if it works or not but know that the one period of time I really needed it to work it was broken.

Yep, getting the chance to play while off on vacation was worth more to me than a shitty arcade game.
Well, you two should just consider yourselves very lucky then. Smile big because if that is one of the worst things in your life going on right now then you have very good lives. It never ceases to amaze me how good a person's life can get yet they never seem to reduce how much they complain. Seriously, when is enough going to be enough for you people to the point where you can finally shrug off annoyances like this one and be happy with what you got? Have you ever really taken a step outside of your box to consider that for a few minutes?
Besides, MS isn't forcing you to pay for XBL. You could always cancel if you are unhappy. I personally wouldn't because I have no other options when it comes to playing certain titles online and there is not a better service out there than XBL anyways. That certainly isn't MS's fault that no one tries to compete at XBL's level. I very much appreciate that a great service like XBL even exists in the first place for such a low cost. Until a better competitor comes out, I will not be complaining. Even with this latest issue, they are still the best you can buy.

I would if I could. MS doesn't give refunds for 12month subscription cards.
Everything is slow on xbox live now ... even when I play Forza 2 yesterday it took more than a minute after each race to upload the timing info.
Before, it was so fast I didn't even know they had a screen that tells you they're uploading things.
Could you possibly be any more smug and condescending? If you could step off of the high horse for a moment, you'd see that no one here is threatening to sue microsoft or acting as if the world is coming down around them. Its a console gaming discussion forum...wtf else do you expect to see posted? We're all just annoyed, and rightfully so. Have you considered that for a few minutes, before you go on your next self aggrandizing anti-ranting rant?
Precisely. Its like Prancer breaking a leg on xmas eve, and santa telling us that we should be grateful that it happened because there were so many gifts this year, even though we're too busy working to completely enjoy them.
Oh well, I'll probably drop dead tomorrow from the stress anyway, so no big deal. 😛

I would admittedly be pretty pissed if I were actually trying to play multiplayer games and was affected by this. As it is, I've played two or three sessions of CoD 4 after 11:00 EST and had no issues each time, but beyond that I haven't played any online games since before Christmas. I have plenty of single player games to keep me occupied at the moment. I think I'll get into Mass Effect next.
I have the right to rant against your rant just as much as you have the right to rant in the first place. As you said, this is a "discussion forum...wtf else do you expect to see posted?" Whenever anyone posts anything on the internet there will always be those that disagree. You are also tossing words in my mouth here regrading things such as lawsuits which I never mentioned, but that really doesn't need to be discussed beyond pointing it out.
That was an attempt to point out that things are not nearly as bad as they seem and most of this rant is making a mountain out of a mole hill. Top that off with me concluding that I have found life to be much much better if you discipline yourself to not let the little things bother you. It's just text book stuff written in a colorful way. I was not trying to make myself look better than anyone. This is the internet. How could I possibly know if I am actually better than anyone here or vice versa? That makes no sense. I think you are misinterpreting my posts which is fueling a lot of anger.
