Anyone else having trouble getting into a CoD4 match right now on Live?

What problems are you having? What messages are you getting? COD4 matchmaking has been working OK all this week.

im very happy about this game. i didnt buy it but wanted to. i was holding off on all purchses till they released the info.

yeah!!

Last night I tried signing on Xbox Live to re-download the Paradise demo (I deleted it because I'm buying it this week) for my buddy to try out... The Marketplace and Friends list tabs were both extremely slow to load. It didn't seem like there were any matchmaking issues though.

yah it's been that way for me for over a month. it's pretty sad that MS can't fix this crap, srsly.

You know what really sucks? I recently got a 360 Elite and had to transfer the 31 XBLA games I own to the new system. Now, thanks to the fvcking ridiculous DRM, I can't play any of them when I'm offline... they all default back to trial versions when offline. The DRM on the XBLA games ties the games to original console, so when you change consoles the games require you to be online so they can check your account to see if you truly own the game. So thanks to all these issues over the past month or so, I haven't been able to play my XBLA games any time I want... only when Live lets me connect.

It's lame that MS hasn't set up an official method for tying the games to your new console. I've read on some forums (here too, I think) that MS actually issued some people enough MS points to re-buy all their XBLA games on their new console. I called Live tech support and tried to get them to offer me a solution and was basically just told, "Sorry, nothing we can do".

Compare that to the PS3 where any game you buy online can be installed on up to 5 PS3 consoles. The only caveat being that the account of the user that purchased them must be set-up on each console... but that user does not have to be logged in. And in the case of Warhawk, only one copy of the game can be online at once. Pretty fair restrictions if you ask me.

Well, this sucks. Undertow will apparently be the one and only XBLA release this week. Chessmaster and REZ were rumored to be coming this week.

Yeah. According to 360 Fanboy, Undertow coming out free will be the only XBLA activity for the week.

I've read where people have complained to MS about their arcade games being played offline, and MS gave them enough points in their account to re-download all the games.

Got my undertow just now,it was down for the last hour.

Yeah I just got mine too. First couple of times I tried to get to the purchase blade, an error blade on the right would pop up with something about "cannot retrieve information from Xbox Live: error 80..something"

Also happened last night when renting Mr. Woodcock. I wonder what's going on.

So has anyone tried this yet? I played last night and it's absurdly difficult. The training mission you are immune from enemy fire so I was like.. hey this isn't so bad.

Then you get to the real mission and you die in seconds - is there something I'm missing? Do I have to put a shield up or something? The controls are also a bit weird as you can only shoot at 8 points e/se/s/sw/w etc.

Graphics are decent, but the models with no faces.. sheesh.

I tried the training mission, and based on that alone I don't know if this is worth any sort of point value. It was boring and annoying.
