I work at a P.B.S. Station in Kentucky.
When i first got this job we had his show playing twice a day on my shift.

I am a pretty cynical and heartless bastard but this makes me sad.
The man, no matter how fruity, was truly a symbol of youth in America.
Nearly all of us watched him at some point. The little train was my favourite part. 🙁

Actually I am still a heartless bastard because I mourn for myself more than Mr. Rodgers.
I hate it when the things and people you've grown up with and know start dropping away.

How about Charles Schultz and Charlie Brown? In fact, 5 comic strip artists died that year. a conspiracy?

How sad,Mr Rogers was so dorky, I loved him!

"It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood... 🙁

He was truly an amazing entertainer. he has helped so many generations to learn so much. It is a sad day.🙁

here is a good article from MSNBC.

I recall growing up with him. His sweaters, sneakers, and the like. Mr. McFeely, and all the rest of the crew, a motly one at that. I think the more people that are hurt from this are the late teens, and adults who really have grown up with him and recall his prime in the mid 80's. He was a good man.
