Mozilla FireFox 0.8 Out!

Love the Mozilla, but Firebird had always posed problems for me. If it didnt crash, it would fail to display pages sometimes (or some at all, like Schwab.com).

Lizardboy, I get that same problem (even with Mozilla). It seems to think a page is down when it isnt. Even if you clear the cache and all that, I usually can't look at the page in question for a few hours. Overall though, those tiny little niggles are way overshadowed by the pop-up blocking and tabbed.....

 
Is this REALLY improved over the 0.7 Firebird? I used the 0.7 for a little bit and found it starts slower on initial starts and loads slower than IE6. Also found my logins were not saved every now and then, and I would have to keep logging in to some of my accounts when I visit the site. Although I did love the pop-up blocking and tab browsing!

I dunno about moving tabs, but CTRL+Tab will allow you to tab between tabs. 😀

If you find the Tabbed browser extension, it will allow you to rearrange the tabs. I think it's probably the best plugin for Firefox right now, but I know a lot of people occassionally run into issues with it.

yah but their extension page is down right now 🙁 ... i need tab extension and mouse gestures so i can decide if i like this better than opera.

you can just remove the directory.
there was no installation involved with firebird in the first place.
you simply unzip everything into a folder.
 
Damn, What happened to my "click" sound? When I click on a link or open a page, how come there are no "click" sounds in Firefox? Any help would be appreciate. BTW, I like firefox...
 
I'm a huge netscape fan ... who recently switched to firebird ... and downloaded firefox the day of the release .... let me tell you ... it is just amazing ... no better browser out there!!!!
