I haven't heard anything negative from anyone at all for this movie except that some have a hard time believing Lithgow portraying a villain especially when they are so use to him in 3rd Rock From the Sun. That said, the beginning scene was very intense for anyone afraid of heights.

Heh...I have this on DVD and Blu ray, and probably on VHS at one time. For some reason, whenever I think of Cliffhanger the first thing I think of is Michael Rooker saying this. Janine Turner looking hot as ever, an over the top John Lithgow, that dude from The Waltons, mercenary English soccer hooligan...Leon. This movie had a great cast, and the story is surprisingly good, all things considered. Gonna watch it tonight!

Lithgow has been a great villain a few times. Blow Out, Buckaroo Banzai, Ricochet and Dexter come to mind.

It is only 23% on RT. I think its aged well as a movie. I liked it when it first came out.

it was a "meh" from me. i wanted to like it, i really did..

23% for event horizon? that is a travesty. it was an awesome movie from day 1. I saw it when I was like 16 and at the time I genuinely thought it was the scariest movie I had ever seen. Good stuff.

Yeah my thoughts as well. My girlfriend had never seen it. We recently watched it and her thoughts were basically "it was really good and really disturbed me"
