This is a first. I guess I assumed that, like everyone else at the time, that everything Jim Carrey did was pure comedy gold. I thought Cable Guy was terrific, and I assumed most people did.

You found Cable Guy terrific and hated SPR.

The Getaway (1994). They had a free screening for us in college. I remember walking out saying it was the best movie I've seen in awhile, but everyone I was with said it was lame.

I thought it was worth it just for the Kim Basinger nude scene. I thought the rest of the movie was pretty good too.

I couldn't think of anything, but I have to agree here. It wasn't a *bad* movie, not great, but watchable.

I read the book and I really enjoyed it, one of the best sci-fi books I've read. But they murdered the movie.

Cry all you want, I hated SPR. We've had this exact discussion before anyway. What's so shocking? Like I said in the past, I love many things about SPR, but when you put them all together they add up to crap. I like Ferraris. I like explosions. See what I mean?

Besides if we took a close look at your top 100 films, I think we could dig out some apparent inconsistencies. I'm willing to share my thoughts.

Here's the luggage salesmen, :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ljOj6GVcnQ
part of the movies charm is how well the cameo's were cast, Ossie Davis as the limo driver, LLoyd Bridges as Samuel Harvey Graynamore, Abe Vigoda as the chief Tobi, Robert Stack as Doctor Ellison. The scene where Hank's awakes in the middle of the night while floating on his beloved luggage to see the a huge moon rising out of the ocean was just fantastic,..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1EOnVSSJYs
 And "I have no response to that."

The Thin Red Line is #15 in my top 100. :colbert: Of course The Cable Guy is #30, so not sure what that says about me. :hmm:

Judge Dredd, the Stallone version. It was lame, campy, but it was fun; the Judges wearing crotch armor aside.

Cable Guy is hated? I give up on this world..
What about Me, Myself, and Irene? It's at 48% on rottentomatoes. I thought that was hilarious as well.

No mention of Napoleon Dynamite?
Yeah right. Like you would even know.

I really liked Oscar (Sylvester Stallone) though people I've shared it with hate it.

Uhh, since when has an Oscar-winning "Best Picture" movie been a movie "people dislike?" At the very least The Academy liked it.

Thin Red Line would have been ok if they didn't just shoehorn in like every actor they could. I really don't like just about anything Jim Jesus is in, and then throw in Sean Penn and some of the others and the pacing of that movie, I just can't stand to watch it.

LOL

I enjoyed the movie Signs.

That's another one. I honestly don't understand why I like it as I don't like basically anyone involved in it (Gibson post about '96 or so, Joaquin Phoenix, the other Culkin, I guess I'm indifferent to the girl, obviously not a big Shyamalan fan) and it was very stupid and bad.

I will say its a great date movie. Even better couch date movie ;)

if we're talking about movies that people on atot dislike that i like, that's about 99% of the movies out there since people here hate everything.

if we're talking about the general public, i'm gonna have to go with a buncha b horror movies like pirahna 3d. also liked terminator salvation.

I wondered when you'd show up with your tired whining about people hating all the terrible movies you like.

Pirahna 3D is hard to hate because you knew it was just a shitty dreck movie with some titties. You wouldn't be watching it unless you wanted to see that.

The big ones for myself are Transformers (the first one) and the second Matrix movie, but I went into Matrix reloaded JUST expecting to see good action/CGI fight scenes and it delivered.
