Any update on availability on these chips? I can only seem to find them at Monarch, where they are either OOS or jacked up in price.

Did you get a retail or Oem processor?
I have a X2 4400 in my DFI rig and I really like the multi tasking you can do with it.

LMAO, recently, someone on Ebay paid $355 for a CABYE 146. If anyone wants my 146 CABYE for that amount LMK, hehe

FYI Guys:
We've got a pretty solid ETA now on 144's. I'm not 100% sure yet, but there is a *very* good chance they are shipping to us this week, so we'd re-ship either Friday or early next week.
We have no 146's availble right now, but 8 or 9 144's that are not yet spoken for. I'm not sure what core they are going to be, but the very helpful rep at one of our new supplier is going to try and cherry pick the best ones he can for us (He's a fellow enthusiast, so he knows what we're all after) It's really going to depend on what they have, but we'll do our best!
Making $30 on a cpu is a fair but not extortionate markup. Good to see them coming down the pipe again. Fingers crossed for a good batch.Originally posted by: lsman
AMD drop the "official" pricing again.....144 $111 1000 tray price. Well, till they have stock...

AMD wanted to get the Opterons off the ECC memory requirement of the 940 in order to gain more of the low end server market on a 939 platform which doesn't require registered memory.

Can't really go by that. Like you said, it's the wholesale price for a 1000 pieces. After factoring in shipping, fees, markup, and supply/demand it's going to shake out for a lot more by the time it gets to us.

They are only locked in the upward direction, otherwise CnQ couldn't operate.Originally posted by: gotkilled
