How depressing is it that OP's reaction to everything he dislikes is to make fun of it or try to mock it? What does that achieve?
I just read the opinion piece and I dont really see the problem.
I'm not keen on Fathers day. I'm a dad all year round, I like to think that my kids appreciate me all year round.
Lady says that she personally isnt that keen on Mothers day. I'm not sure how thats become a controversial topic.
There's a bunch of days that are just there to monetarise sentimentality and I can see why people would object to a lot of them. Doesn't mean that you cant enjoy them if you want though.
wait, what does corn signify?
Doubt OP read the Wapo opinon. It was pretty unoffensive, even to a conservative bot/moron. Had nothing to to with "gender neutral naming". Women do more of the housework, does the framing of mother's day reinforce this? I'm sure I 100% agree, but a valid enough take. Shouldn't be a big deal to anyone.. *shrug
Shit and run, typical of someones posts. You uhhh... do realize that the ONLY way to report on this would be an opinion, right? The point is that it's becoming mainstream endorsed courtesy of what is commonly considered "reputable".
This should be mocked to the fullest extent for the absurdity, stupidity, and generally how this is unprofessional and something that only comes from 12 year olds that haven't reached adult-hood.
@s0me0nesmind1 Your recent posts and thread show that you make claims that no one believes is true. It also seems that you read things in articles, where when others read the article they can not find what you have read or seen in tbe article. It also seems that this issue occurs to you sporadically, and it seems you can't control these episodes.
This is just my opinion and I am not a psychiatrist and nor did study psychiatry, but I am sorry to say I think you suffer from Schizophrenia.
He will never respond to this or anything like it.I wish sedition and treason irked you as much as the women who get you frothy at the mouth so often.
Ignoring the actual war on democracy while you flail about trying to convince people of a war on language, on cherished pronouns!
It's like you don't want to be taken seriously. Everytime you reveal your real priorities, it's like watching a wannabe tough guy try to intimidate others - by punching himself squarely in the face, repeatedly.

Change is hard, this reaction is the protection of ego and a pretty typical thing IMO. Conservatives, IMXP, suffer from this more than Liberals. I was raised strict Conservative, and it was a very typical and acceptable response to things that didn't fit our definition of acceptable. As an adult, challenging myself to change this has probably been one of the harder things I've attempted, but opening the mind to new ideas does have it's benefits.
