In the thousands of years we've been in existence all the religious people can think is the greatest thing that happened is some dude was born, lived for 33 years and then died. oh and he might have come back to life too. TRULY the GREATEST contribution to humanity's existence!!

I'd have to say the most important event is whatever happened that allowed us to communicate. because if we couldn't communicate we would just be stumbling around eating and shitting, and not sitting in front of our computers arguing what the most important even in history was.... hmm lemme think that one over again...
