Nik isn't that conservative. He does disagree with a few of Bush's policies. (especially the one about giving illegal alien some rights) Also, being angry all the time might add to the perception that he's a hard core conservative.

I'm the most liberally conservative person on here. :D :D :D

Seriously though my only political thought these days is I don't want Bush in the White House any more. Kerry may not be perfect but even Skoorb would make a better president than Bush.

Hmmm....
SKOORB FOR PRESIDENT! :p

Hey, Insane3D, let's hash out our positions.

Name a policy and let's both define where we stand on it.

This could be fun. :)

Hmmm..can I take a raincheck? It's coming up on 10am here, and I worked the graveyard (11-7) last night. Bed.....looking.....very.....comfy....cozy.

:)

I would like to at another time though, I have a sneaky feeling we are not as far apart in our views as we both might think.

:)

Cool. Later we should start an issue thread with the rules that there are no flames or debates. Simply name an issue (social or fiscal), and then allow posters to define their stance.

I would agree, somewhat. I think most of the people here have a "let people live as they choose as long as it does not adversely affect others" attitude which differs from that of some conservatives who think it's their job to tell us what to do in our homes/bedrooms.

On the other hand, I think a lot of members are probably more economically conservative.

Just the impression I get, though I could be mistaken.

i think you just described the Libertarian Party

The problem is, the lib party goes too far. Most people who are libertarian leaning are not isolationists and believe in some publically funded infrastructure.

Welcome to the Libertarian party. Our numbers are few but growing quickly due to the majority being scared away because of the extreme polarization of the 2 major parties. Hell, why not elect a caucus instead of a person because there is no deviation from party platforms.

I mean Bush...Yay for the military and striking fear into the heart of those that hate America. Boo, because he never met a dollar he didn't spend, his religious fanaticism and forcing his moral beliefs on others.

Kerry, Yay, he's not Bush. Boo, he stands for nothing but whatever the recent gallup poll says the majority of people want and who gives a damn if you've been plotting to take over the Presidency even before becoming a "War Hero"

I can't see anyone hating a man so much that they would vote for someone simply because he was not the other guy. The Democrats were stupid enough to nominate one of only a handful of people that could possibly lose. The Republicans were just smart enough to squeak by in 2000 and possibly in 2004, god help us...Where is Montgomery Brewster when you need him?

But Heartsurgeon is the most conservative member of AT, though he doesn't post much on OT. He sticks in P&N mostly.

I haven't really been on the forums recently, but I think that I'm a pretty liberal guy in the context of people lie conjur and Moonbeam. Rip definitely is most conservative, even though we did have some neo-cons recently.
