Mega Man 3

I hate you spark man, die.

Yes, Mega Man is incredibly hard.
Quake 3, all levels on Nightmare is pretty damned hard too.
Quake 3 was quite a challenge on nightmare, but doom was nearly impossible. I did all 32 levels, too.

Super Contra, TMNT1, Doubld Dragon 3 and Battletoads.
Battletoads and Double Dragon combined was so sweet though.

Terminator 2 for Sega Genesis...it was the one where you had to use the light gun to shoot all of the terminators. One of the levels had you on the back of a truck while it was driving, and you had to not only defend yourself, but the truck, and civilians that were on the ground (and in your line of fire) all while moving and shooting at 100's of T-800s.

u have to sacrifice a few lives at the beginning of that level to only stock up on rockets. once u have like 70+ rockets, shoot them randomly across the sky (back and forth at the ends of the screen) to take out the flying HKs, meanwhile save your machine gun to pinch off the T-800 heads when they show up, it only takes 1 bullet to the neck and their head flys off.

or use rockets on them as well. basically fill the sky with rockets and when necessary use machine gun on the metal heads.

oh and the hardest game was that weird ET one for the atari, the little guy kept falling into holes and couldnt get out. :|

i don't remember the game, but someone told me there is some old dos game that no one has ever beaten.

one of those where you wander around a labyrinth. but each time you play a level again the labyrinth is different. something like that.

sheesh.

Some people have said today's games arent hard...

I'd like to see them complete (w/ all tags and objectives completed) Jet Grind Radio or complete Rallisport Challenge (on XBOX) w/ everything unlocked.

That would be Akalabeth. It was a great RPG I used to play on my Apple IIe.

There were lots of games in those days (and on the Atari 2600) that had no ending.

I vote for Super Ghouls and Ghosts. I had the orginal on the Genesis and played it so many times I could get through it both times without dying. I try to play SG&G and I can't even beat the first level.

Jet Grind Radio basically reminded me of how games were in the NES days. Here was a modern game that you couldn't simply play your way through - you needed skill and/or practice just like the old days.

Frogger 86 by Jarno Laaveri (Ti-86)

I'll give you my left nut, if you can get past level r (something like level 18). I devoted 40 minutes of my lofe every school day for 2 years (precalc and calc) and countless hours before/after school on that and zTetris (top score 19892, I'd like to see someone top that as well, I always started level 9, high 4 btw, by level 17, the controls on the calc can't keep up with them falling, at those speeds, it has nothing to do with skill or luck, it's literally impossible to rotate and move half way over to a side). But ya, frogger... HAHAHHA

Super Ghouls N' Ghosts for the SNES. It was a hard mofo. I got to level 3 on that and gave up after endless hours of trying. 🙁

WUSS.

I got to the level with the water rising up and down and you were on the raft thingie. Couldn't get past that dam level!!!!!

I'd have to say GT3. If you can hit GOLD on all the liceneses especially the Special licenses then you are ONE TOUGH MOFO!

I seriously do not see how a person can hit GOLD on all of those! I'm dam good at the game and have yet to find a guy that can beat me at it 😀 but fvck me if you can hit gold on all of your liceneses!

I did all of them in 4hrs!

Final Fight II on the SNES couldn't beat that dam game!

I got up to Sodom and he'd kick my ass 🙁

An old PC game called Ripper. That one had me and a buddy lost for hours, not really a kill game, more of a puzzle game, and some of them, I swear you have to be Batman to figure it out in a few minutes.....
