Vanilla sky did not have any frogs, you are thiking of the PT Anderson movies that I cant remember the title of.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

That movie just went on...and on... and on... That whole sequence that had the crew trying to get to the center of "Vger" took forever.

Yup. I think the the director must have shot the editor with a musket. I was staying at my sister's house for the holidays, so I couldn't turn it off and didn't really have anything else to do. It was pure torture.
