there are some people in this thread that seriously need to stop watching movies, because they are obviously incapable of getting anything from them.

Here's another one for you to chew on....I didn't really like Fight Club either.

LOTR

Hell yes... I've seen A LOT of movies, and it is the only one that made me fall asleep. I refuse to see the other two.

I am in shock that others mentioned Citizen Kane and Gods & Generals... two of my favorites 🙁

Ah well, I'm sure I hurt some LOTR fans 😉

Probably Paycheck

On a side note, I watched Lost in Translation for the first time the other night and have to say I liked it. Sophia Coppola won an award for the screenplay, but I felt the cinematography was what made the film. Every shot said something... Even if nothing really happened 😛 There was even something for the average ATOTer, ie. the female lead being in panties for much of the film

Titanic. The first bit, technical stuff about exploring, was kinda okay, but the rest of it was horrible. And it gets minus points for that godawful song that is still stuck in my head.

Videodrome was boring, incoherent, and rather stupid.
Xtro was just rather boring and stupid. Xtro 3 wasn't much better, though actually watchable.
The Russia House was the dullest Sean Connery movie evar.
The Maltese Falcon was such a waste of my time it's not even funny. Thankfully I taped it off TV, and promptley put something better in its place.
Nemesis III: Prey Harder How that movie was ever, ever got green lit I'll never know. The FX look like someone sneezed on the camera lens. Pretty much the same for part 2, though that one had a shade more story (if you can call it that).

As for people mentioning Lost in Translation, from what I hear it's a pure love it or hate it movie. There's no middle of the road. Some friends I have who've seen it hate it (rather pedophelic undertones it's said), so I'm in no rush to see it either.

Cube 2: Hypercube, on sci fi channel, one of those movies you absolutly know is the worse thing ever but just watch to see if anything happens, nothing did.

The Passion.

The Passion of the Christ?

I just got done watching it a couple of minutes ago, and even for this agnostic I found it quit moving.

Heat (aside from the armored car robbery)
Lord of the Rings 1, 2, and especially 3. I walked out of the theater halfway into the second one, and have no idea why I finished the third.

Yes I fell asleep too... my wife took me to see ROTK and I was almost snoring anytime I didn't hear metal shields or swords clang.
