cmdrdredd if you care, the iOS version finally got through the review process. 18 days from start to finish - pretty ridiculous. at least they reviewed my update within a day, which is a first. i asked for expedited review of it because they botched my initial review process so maybe that helped.

if you get it i'd be interested in some feedback, good or bad. also would like to hear some feedback on the kombo kreator tool. not sure why my updated screenshots aren't showing in the 1.4 listing there, there should be a screenshot of the kombo kreator in there too. also drop me a good review if you like it :)

I grabbed it just now. I like the custom combo creator cause I can have my list handy when I practice some complicated ones. The only thing missing is a way to edit an already created combo.

I noticed for kenshi' puppet fatality it is listed as far distance but actually it needs to be done from mid. I haven't spent time looking for other moves but that one I noticed.

cool thanks for the info. yeah man if you find errors (which i'm sure there are in there with so many moves) just let me know and i will get them fixed in an update. someone pointed out some errors with erron black that have already been fixed in the ios version too.

haven't done anything with that yet, but yes it's definitely possible and definitely doable. the way you delete them (on ios) is a standard thing for table layouts where you swipe and a delete button shows up.

on android i made it so you click on the cell and it has a dialog asking if you want to delete it.

what i'm thinking about doing in general is making a popup when clicking on it (on android and ios) that says "do you want to edit/delete/cancel" and then take you whatever option you want.

i may also look into how to do a custom slide action and put delete/edit button there as well. i just have to figure out a "standard" way to do it so that it doesn't feel odd on either platform.

Cool, thanks for doing the app. I know you said that you probably won't even play the game much yourself so there wasn't much incentive beyond maybe making a few dollars.

Also have you considered adding the move stats at all like the frame times and block advantage stuff? The game tells all that info. It would be a ton of crap to add so I would totally be ok if not cause that's a lot of shit to put in there.

well i WANTED to like MKX but with online being so terrible i probably will not dig into it much at all. and i just had my first child march 26th so i don't have much time to game lol.

as for the move/frame data, yeah i plan to add it. in the game it's like 100% wrong for everything, which baffles the shit out of me considering how easy it would be to make it accurate since all the frame data has to be stored SOMEwhere (or is calculated, which could generate a DB of the info so easily on the fly to display it). so i'm waiting for all of that to be confirmed to be correct, or add it when there is a list over on TYM that is accurate.

pretty much all of my other game guides have the frame data in there so i typically add it.

Just wait until your kid is old enough to want to press buttons on an unplugged controller while you pretend they are the ones playing. =)

I wonder if it's wrong or just feels wrong cause of the weird combo delay. I've heard from some good players that block advantage is more important most of the time though.

no it's completely wrong. there are threads about it on gamefaqs and TYM talking about it. like almost every item has errors in it.

yeah knowing block advantage is probably the most important because it tells you what you can and can't punish on block.

If you end up selling it LMK, I'd like to play it eventually but probably won't bother with it enough to buy new.

will do, but likely not going to happen. i'll most likely hang onto it regardless so that i have access to the in game data in case i have to make updates to my app.

FINALLY got around to giving MKX some time in the lab in training mode today.

i really like the way it plays, it's just so sad how terrible online is. inputs dropping online, input delay galore. just sucks :(

and this was with a green bar connection.

i was actually using it quite a bit myself while in training mode. i never realized how handy the "always keep screen on" preference was until i actually had to use it now. i can definitely see why someone requested that feature.

Yes, especially when I need to glance down and see what my combo was when I forget or if I have an input wrong somewhere. No more press button, let iOS scan my print, then look at app.

anyone know if the Kombat Pack DLC only works for the premium MKX version? on the listing on the XBL marketplace it says it's fort he premium version of MKX in the description, however in the bottom of the listing, it shows both MKX and MKX Premium.

The Kombat Pack is for all versions. The premium version comes with the kombat pack, normal editions have to buy it for $29.99. It's poorly worded in the listing I bet. Also I don't know about XB1 but on PS4 you have to download the characters manually once you get the kombat pack. It did not automatically download Jason and Tanya for me. Same for the costume packs.

do you know if the premium users get the characters earlier? or does everyone with the kombat pack get the characters a week or so earlier before you can buy them individually?

EDIT:

looks like kombat pack gets early access. you know how early it is? cause i see it's $5 for jason, and if characters are only $5 each, i might just wait to get each one individually for $20 total instead of $30 cause i don't care about the costumes. i just want access to put them in my mkx app.

The info from that is kind of all over the place. The devs say a week but some said it wasn't a week early. I really can't find that info.

if any of you guys are using my MKX app, the frame data update went live today for iOS, and I just submitted another update for iOS to include the "move punisher" tool.

frame data has been live on android over a week, and i'm going to port this tool over to android over the next few days.
