They did make it seem that way didn't they? I guess all the first copies will get the extra character.
Hey since I know you have a stick for this game on XB1, would you tell me the button layout you use for the vewlix setup on the stick and how it works out compared to using the controller? Mortal Kombat always had a unique layout and I felt vewlix setups or the double rows didn't feel right. If the arcade stick setup isn't ideal without an MK specific stick I might end up with this on PS4(for what I feel is a superior d-pad), but if it works well I'll go XB1. I have a PS3 stick that can work on PS4 though but I like the TE2 better for it's more solid feel.
I'm actually hearing good feedback about the game from those who got it early and might get it myself(not much info on netcode yet but some people say it's fine).
im not a fan of the default button layout at all. x/y are the punches, a/b are the kicks. then block is the rt. it just feels not right. then lt is switch stances, rb is interact, and lb is throw.
what im going to do is make the middle buttons the punches/kicks, then the bottom left button block. that way i can just block with my thumb. i don't care about the "throw" button because the lp/lk buttons pushed same time also throw. i'll probably make that lt or lb. i plan to make stance switch X so that i can press X + A to do the xray move. then i'll probably make interact the lb or lt button, whichever one i don't make the throw button.
i think that is what i did for mk9 or something similar and it worked out fine.
in general, holding block is going to take a lot to get used to again.
