That's ok. You stay in a liberal paradise and pay 300k for a shack, I'll move to redneck central and live like king Midas for half that. We'll both be happy!

You are aware that the story of King Midas is a Greek Tragedy, right?

His golden touch made his food and drink turn to solid gold; when he touched his beloved daughter, she was turned into a golden statue.

You don't think there are good jobs to be had in a suburb of Memphis?

The most competitive and highest paying areas are generally in the northeast and west coast and everyone knows this. Those out our super competitive, economic powerhouses.

Well Cumberland MD has a very low house pricing and that's where I am likely to retire. It has 3 major jobs centers a State Prison a Federal Prison and a large Train yard. Plus a new burgeoning marijuana grow industry soon where I hope to get some part time work. I will prune buds with old county grandmas.
I'm thinking New Hampshire because f*** all.

Yeah. He killed his daughter and starved to death. I'm not sure that was what greenman was going for there! :p

Bah,

Many of us will probably die before retirement anyway. 1/2 men will develop cancer in their lifetime.

Gulp... guess I'd better find those bootstraps. Going to need them to make myself rich enough to pay, cause hey... who needs healthcare anyway?

Sure, in Silicon Valley or New York there are probably better paying jobs, and more of them (but the cost of living is much higher). I agree. But what you said is: "Well also there are no jobs there that pay anything decent." I can let an exaggeration go, but that is just a plainly false statement.

What Republican has said illegal immigrants steal all good jobs? What are you talking about?

I'll add this:

Immigrants flooded California construction. Worker pay sank. Here’s why
Ybarra, born in Los Angeles, has built a solidly middle-class lifestyle on more than two decades in the carpenters’ union, earning $40 an hour on top of a pension, healthcare and unlimited vacation days.

Martinez, born in Guadalajara, Mexico, works for a nonunion contractor, installing metal panels and other parts for $27.50 an hour. He doesn’t have retirement savings, his insurance doesn’t cover his family and he gets five vacation days per year.

That is true, there are SOME jobs lost to illegal immigrants. You said they're taking all the jobs. You guys exaggerate so much and believe those exaggerations. Like I've said before, you Trump deranged dolts create caricatures of reality and attack that caricature as if it were real. Stop lapping up everything the Democrats spoon feed you.

I lived there over 6 years right along the CT river when my wife was at Dartmouth doing her doctorate. Loved it and as long as someone clears my driveway it's no problem.

Awesome. I like new new england, but less and less do I like the snow.

For me it's the dark and cold of winter. I can dress for the cold and they have mostly clear skies. Where I am now goes gray and pretty much stays that way from early December until late April. The Pacific NW can't beat being near the Great Lakes.

And it's used for political gains, not even republicans will actually stop the root cause. Shameful.

So in other words you can’t let an exaggeration go, hahaha.

The one thing red areas tend to have right is housing policy though. Let people build!

They usually have plenty of room for that to happen. They don't have to tear anything down to build something new.

I'm thinking New Hampshire because f*** all.

I've said it before and I'll say it a thousand times more if I have to--the 3 years I lived in New Hampshire were the worst 3 years of my life (and I was in a decent border city that's practically a Boston suburb.) Spare your soul.
