Canada exports 7% of its wheat to the US

The US uses 95% of its own Wheat

The CWB is not hurting American farmers at all, you have some illusion to this, change your own business practices, as it is your own choices causing you to run into this wall.

Here, educate yourself:

wheat: background

Almost half of the U.S. wheat crop is exported. The importance of exports varies by class of wheat. The white and HRS classes rely more than others on sales into export markets:

White wheat, two-thirds of the crop exported
HRS, half of the crop exported
SRW and durum, about one-third of each exported
HRW, slightly over one-third exported

And while your at it:

Wheat exports

Our quality is so bad we export twice as much wheat as Canada.

See..there ya go..now your actually bringing facts to the argument..now about the CWB harming American farmers?

The only fact that is pertinent in this discussion is the fact that the Canadian Wheat monopoly is allowed to dump wheat in the US whenever it suits them, but the reverse is not true.

Your country is hypocritical, but then they're Canadians, ehh! We expect it, your like our little brother stealing our change off the dresser thinking we won't miss it.

Your own organization found the wheat dumping charge to be false. Run along now.

Not to mention Canadian wheat sells for a higher price. Every accusation you have thrown at me I have proven false. Your only defence is "I am in the business" yet you have no facts to back you up. You are no better than the people who blame the chineese for comming over and "stealing our jobs" and the mexicans for "stealing our jobs" your close mindedness will be your downfall. Now as I said, you have nothing to back yourself up, just your own little rantings.

I am still waiting for the Study that shows this is hurting American Farmers, which I asked for hours ago. Or did you expect this just to be like at the bar with your buddies where you can b*tch and moan and everyone agree with you, because they don't know any facts either.

If we can't sell wheat in Canada then how is it fair that you can sell wheat here on our open market? It that's an example of "free trade" then I'm all for scraping NAFTA and every other free trade agreement we have too.

Same point over and over, yet with no substance, Canadians sell wheat at higher prices, therefore you guys should have no problem competing with them, you do though, so there is another problem there. Still ignore the fact the organization you asked to do a study dismissed the fact it is not hurting America farmers at all. Go back to the bar with your friends, complain and moan over things you guys need to, to justify yourself. and ignore the facts.

and what I said in my last post that you ignored,

As I said, I am still waiting for the study about how this hurts american farmers that was the entire basis of your argument till I showed you were talking out of your as*. So please, find that study for me and stop looking like a fool who just sprout bit*ch and moan arguments because he cannot win.

If you read a study that told you that you could jump off a cliff and not get hurt you would probably believe it.

I see in another thread that you are at work. LMAO, what exactly are you getting paid for anyway? How to irritate Americans, LOL!

I'm waiting for you to show me where I can sell wheat in Canada. I've got my truck loaded and ready to roll, so hurry it up will you.

Soooo still talking out of your as*? Good job anyway. I told you where you could sell wheat. You should try reading my posts before rehashing your same pathetic argument.
Once you get concrete proof we can try talking again, until than you are just another "well it has to be my way even though I have nothing to back myself up" individual. Can you find any proof NAFTA has hurt American farmers at all? I mean, if you cannot this entire argument (based on NAFTA) is invalid. If NAFTA has not hurt american farmers, has aided Canadian and Mexican farmers, than it is working.

What does it matter? Your a pathetic troll with no concrete argument. As I said, if NAFTA does not hurt American farmers (which it does not) and helps Canadian and Mexican farmers, your argument is invalid.

The one thing we can be sure of, this WFTA will only benefit the very wealthy and the big corporations.

Is that what you said about NAFTA too?

I haven't seen any benefit from NAFTA, nor did the people who lost their manufacturing jobs here... but I'm sure all those American companies that own factories south of the border saw plenty of benefits on their balance sheet..

GDP has doubled since we signed it, hows that for a benefit?

Yep, and people are in a negative savings rate. Jobs that replaced outsourced jobs are 28% lower in average wages/benefits than the ones they replaced (Per CNN). GDP has doubled and the ultra wealthy, the main recipients of the so called free trade wealth, have nearly doubled theirs...but most on the other hand are left out to dry. Corporate profits through the roof but real wages for everyone except the top 10% down for the last two years. 3.5 million jobs lost to manufacturing...and don't give me the automation crap as I work in automation and see far more jobs sent to Mexico than outsourced from automation. Entire plants sent to Mexico != several operator jobs lost to automation.

We signed NAFTA in 1993...what happened after we signed it? Oh yeah, the biggest economic expansion in the history of the world. You are citing economic stats 10 years later. What happened in the 10 years before that?

Not when compared to the size of our economy...we are actually middle of the road. Besides, that has nothing to do with NAFTA, and you know it.

All I know is we seem to have squandered away the future of the country. I think it's just a matter of time until the S--t hits the fan and all this talk about free trade will be nothing but academic.

I don't understand how people are argue against free trade. It's such a no-brainer, go ask any economist.

And I can't understand how anybody could think we are gaining anything by opening the doors and allowing our manufacturing base to leave the country? As a former blue collar machinist of 20 years, how could I be expected to compete with a labor force making a tenth (or less) of what I was making? I mean we can't all be economists?

I especially can't understand it when we allow those jobs to go to communist countries?

Well, more or less. It is likely in the interest of any country to charge tarriffs. For small tarriffs this can be in the interest of a country. It can be an efficient means to bring in revenue. But it always hurts other countries more than it benefits the country with the tarriffs so countries will generally benefit from agreeing to eliminate tarriffs.
