One more reason why the bill should have been done by August 2009. How much is it going to cost the taxpayers with all the added pork?

Requesting debate on provisions of a bill, requesting that it actually be read, and/or objecting to provisions in a bill is not obstructionism. Instead, if you are looking to "blame" anyone for "obstructionism," how about you point your finger at the Blue Dogs, whom you lovingly referred to as DINO? Had they merely toed the party line, none of this would have happened.

I'm seriously getting confused now by how many people and entities the loony left is trying to pin the blame on. We need a map or a chart or something.

And, if you are actually referring to Republicans invoking seemingly arcane Senatorial procedures as delay tactics, please allow me to quote you from earlier in this thread: "Welcome to reality." Funny how that works both ways, eh?

How dare those vile Republicans obstruct by following the rules of the Senate! /shakesfist

It's good the democrats are in power. All the assholes that support the right get to see how they have been doing politics for years, but because they were the ones doing it, it was invisible to them. Always and everywhere, when the other guy does the crime, we see it with bitter clarity. Outrage is a wound we inflict on ourselves via our own selective stupidity. Mommy Mommy, Johnny is getting away with a crime. You have to punish him, Mommy. Punish him for me. Make me feel loved. Please, Mommy, please!

Welcome to the world of suffering for those still in diapers.

True - except that the Dems were going to change that overall attitude.

They did not want to be like the Republicans.

They were providing hope and change.

Cleanup politics - get rid of the smoke filled back rooms where deals were made.
Openess in government - prevent any stink of conflict/corruption from being in place.

Such was their mantra - seems like the Dems wee sold a bill of goods - except they are to stubborn/pig headed to realize it.

Cost is no objection when it comes to fulling a mandate

Stop dodging. WHO is to blame here? Republicans? Blue Dogs? Obama? Palin? Fox News? Rush? Glenn Beck? Joe Lieberman? Santa Clause?

Anybody but the "enlightened progressive liberals", right?

Well since President Obama campaigned on this we believed him can you fault us for that? We were living in a nightmare supplied by Bush and co. for the last 8 years and he was feeding us want we wanted to hear. You consider people who hoped the status quo would go pig headed and stubborn?

It's to early to say that President Obama has boned his constituents and he has time to produce some tangible results for his constituents before the next election.

I am not dodging anything but pointing out your ineptitude and blatant hypocrisy.

Have to go back before you were born during the Reagan years...

Ya know, I had forgotten about "But Bush...!", but I had never thought the rabid left would try and trump up, "But Reagan...!"

PS - I was alive and well during the Reagan years.

The Republicans learned their political behavior from the Democrats. Years ago, they had a 40 year run of Congress. Told you I was old.

I am about as far right as one can get but I also believe in fair across the board. Black, white, red and green, gays and straight. Holy crap. Am I a closet liberal? Nah, I have too many guns so I must be a progressive conservative.

lol. "Punish him for me. Make me feel loved." Maybe in the RINO voting districts.

You obviously don't know shit about his Presidency but his ideology was instrumental in the financial mess we are in now.

Ausm apparently has decided to go with the arrogant elitist angle. Problem is he lacks the intellectual capacity to pull it off like other posters.

And I would be awfully surprised if he was alive during the Reagan years. Which makes his comment all that more funny.

So basically you want the Democrats to do what your party does and expel all the moderates so we can have a minority in Congress due to the limited appeal they would have to the voters?

Really? The Republicans (not my party, btw) have NO moderates?

I really don't care what the Democrats do or don't do within their own party. What I do find amusing is that the loony left on this forum automatically blames the Republicans for their own party failing to get its pet legislation passed with all of the promised provisions. The legislation was not "watered down" to appease Republicans, it was "watered down" to appease your own Democrats.

Don't you guys get it yet? It is all Lincoln's fault! After all, he should have authored a "Medication Proclamation" to go along with his other famous acts. Those damn Republicans, screwing EVERYONE since the Civil War. :D

I also stated this before, but you NEVER saw the headline, "Reid offers abortion compromise to appease Grahamnesty" or "Senator McCain secures $300 million buyoff in exchange for health care vote". It's been all D's, all the way.

The loony left can spin and deflect all they want, but the truth is apparent. It always is.

You forget about the gang of six negotiations but anyway you are right there are 2 GOP moderates in congress but I don't think they will last long especially when they don't pass the GOP purity test.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/12/07/reid-compares-health-care-reform-foes-slavery-supporters/

"Reid Compares Opponents of Health Care Reform to Supporters of Slavery

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid took his GOP-blasting rhetoric to a new level Monday, comparing Republicans who oppose health care reform to lawmakers who clung to the institution of slavery more than a century ago."

The left, unhinged. :D

Too bad they are in total control right now. :(
