I'd be more concerned if she was there buying them with her dad or some other dirty old man.

whats wrong with that?
Its not like shes buying it to impress men, its just a form of underwear.
Not a big deal

So if you had a 10 years old daughter, you would let her wear thongs so boys and sadly...older men would stare at it? And nothing is wrong with this?

What? are we talking about a thong bathing suit? cause if your just talking about underwear how are men going to be staring at it? I sure as hell wouldn't let her out of the house without some clothing over it. Unless shes going to be walking around half naked men arent going to be staring at it, then again if shes walking around half naked i'd have bigger problems.
its just a different type of underwear that want show pantylines and is more comfortable.... once again not a bid deal.

disturbing, but sadly our culture is moving that way

Look at dressing trends..
Less cloth, more skin
And that cloth is getting more and mroe provacative

My mother is a 3rd grade teacher, she says she has girls coming in wearing shirts
that are backless and stomachless

It's gross that parents let their young kids where provacative clothing

As I've gotten older (25), I've gotten much more protective of my little sister (13). I routinely argue with my mom about whether or not what she's wearing is appropriate. Maybe I've out of hand, but I definitely do not approve of what she's wearing on a somewhat regular basis. They say I'm too conservative, but for Christ's sake there is a happy medium between Britney Spears and a burkha!

So I am standing there picking out their choice, right across I notice a lady in her mid-30s with a 10-12 years old girl. The girl who work there ask the lady what size she is looking for. The lady immediately check the girl size and shout out "oh, she a extra small" and giggle afterward. I was just mind-blown by this scene. What kind of mother encourage 10-12 girl to wear thong? Am I the only one that see this as wrong?

You sure it was her mother?

Could have been her pimp.

I don't think it's really a big deal. Perhaps the daughter wanted to "fit in" or try out a thong and see how it was. You know how girls are always wearing makeup and dressing up to try and seem older (almost like playing house). Maybe this was a reward for her b/c she got all A's on her report card. Now if the mom is buying the girl thong underwear and encouraging low rise jeans where the thong hangs out of the back, then it's not cool. But to me it may just be a case of the girl playing "dress up"

exactly
chances are the mom isnt going to have her wear the thing sticking up out of her jeans... its probably better to have her mom tell her how to wear them than her friends.

Playing "dress up" with thongs? Get the hell outta here with dat stuff!! :|:|:| If you think that your 11-12 year old needs to "fit in" by wearing a thong, then you should have your parental "license" revoked and kicked in the f*#kin' nuts (or ovaries).

This country is seriously effed up.

Im sorry folks but 12 year olds arent innoccent.

They might not have been wearing thongs, but back when I was 12 a rather large number of guys and girls were quite sexually active, and that was 12-13 years ago.

I dont think that playing dress up is a good arguemnt for defending the mother. By dressing up with a thong you are saying that its ok for the daughter to dress up to a point where she is trying to act sexy and attract guys for sexual reasons. I don't know how girls underwear feels but if it is indeed true that they are more comfortable then whatever thats cool. Just don't let her wear jeans that let guys see her thong. She shouldnt be wearing pants that are low anyway.

You can easily see the wearing of normal underwear... haven't ya heard of "panty lines" before :p. That's why they call 'em "granny panties."

yeah so? People have been drinking and driving and killing others for years....does that make it any more ok

When this woman sees her daughter on another "Girls Gone Wild" she should not be surprised.

qft

another reason as my stoutly a$$ed wife will tell you, is so that the line of bikini/full a$$ed panties aren't visible through the pants. thongs are really more practical in today's tight pants'ed society

whats wrong with buying a pair of thongs?....I wear them all the time, it saves treading on bindi's and other things on the ground with bare feet

Oh wait....you silly yanks mean a G-string....thong pffft that's a silly name to call it...next you'll be calling thongs, flip flops

Oh snap!
