Are you certain she was 10 - 12? It's one of those things that pubescent girls enjoy as dumb as it sounds. They feel older and more mature, etc even though it might turn them into a total whore. I was going to say she could be using it for the proper use (no panty lines) but then I realized even that would be wrong.

@Auryg

Most women I know don't find the thong comfortable, or more comfortable than bikini cut panties, in fact it's usually the opposite.

I'm a bit confused between what I classify as a G-String (which is basically a string, with enough cloth to cover ehmm, the front pelvis area (No, thats not me being prude), and say a piece of underwear that resemble panties, but aren't, but is indeed a thong.
Because as I've seen, there are many different types, and I'm very confused. :(

So I am standing there picking out their choice, right across I notice a lady in her mid-30s with a 10-12 years old girl. The girl who work there ask the lady what size she is looking for. The lady immediately check the girl size and shout out "oh, she a extra small" and giggle afterward. I was just mind-blown by this scene. What kind of mother encourage 10-12 girl to wear thong? Am I the only one that see this as wrong?

"oh, she a extra small"

Its not like shes buying it to impress men, its just a form of underwear.
Not a big deal

So if you had a 10 years old daughter, you would let her wear thongs so boys and sadly...older men would stare at it? And nothing is wrong with this?

Uh...underwear is worn under other clothes.

I don't think it's really a big deal. Perhaps the daughter wanted to "fit in" or try out a thong and see how it was. You know how girls are always wearing makeup and dressing up to try and seem older (almost like playing house). Maybe this was a reward for her b/c she got all A's on her report card. Now if the mom is buying the girl thong underwear and encouraging low rise jeans where the thong hangs out of the back, then it's not cool. But to me it may just be a case of the girl playing "dress up"

Playing "dress up" with thongs? Get the hell outta here with dat stuff!! :|:|:| If you think that your 11-12 year old needs to "fit in" by wearing a thong, then you should have your parental "license" revoked and kicked in the f*#kin' nuts (or ovaries).

This country is seriously effed up.

Ummm no. Ninja is right, I remember at around that age a neighbor told me about her buying experience, haha, it's just how it is. Perhaps your mind is in the gutter, there's plenty of functional, non-sexy, plain thongs that aren't really suggestive at all.

Even more disturbing. Being at your girlfirends parents on X-mas to see your future sister in law unwrap one of the stockign stuffers from her mom. A new thong. WTF! It absolutely blew me away. The girls (twins) were 21 or 22 at the time.

There is absolutely NO reason why a 11 or 12 year old should be wearing any kind of thong. Absolutely NONE.

It's that flippin' simple.

No dude, like I've seen a non panty classified underwear cover the whole ass. Like not the whole thing, but a good deal of it.
