did pretty well myself this weekend. Researched the T30 (don't have money to buy it), got out of the chaffee and into the T37, finished researching AT15 and a bunch more things. Re-bought the 13-90 and elc, etc etc. Just need to finish researching the regular T28 (branches from the proto) and I'll be able to sell this piece of shit.

Over the weekend I finally unlocked the big guns for my Panther and Tiger II. Both make such a difference. Having far better games in each since the upgrades.

For anybody with the T37, which top gun is better. The gun with the 5 round magazine, or the single shot but more powerful gun?

wow i can't believe the pen nerfs incoming, way more than they initially said they would. this is going to make the 113 completely useless, tier X heavy with 220 pen? lol
this game is now completely p2w as everyone will just shoot gold
they're punishing casuals more than anything as those of us who have credits to burn, won't be affected as much as those borderline broke all the time.
and no T54 heat nerf? wtf it's even more OP now

also tier 9 > tier X now

here's the list

Jagdpanzer E-100: credit ammo from 299 to 279, gold ammo from 420 to 371
E50M: credit ammo from 271 to 240, gold ammo from 330 to 310
E-100 (buff): credit ammo from 235 to 243, gold ammo from 335 to 325

T95: credit ammo from 276 to 251, gold ammo from 320 to 300
T30: credit ammo from 276 to 251, gold ammo from 320 to 300
M48A1: credit ammo from 268 to 243, gold ammo from 330 to 310

WZ-120: credit ammo from 249 to 220, gold ammo from 340 to 331
113: credit ammo from 249 to 220, gold ammo from 340 to 331

Object 268:credit ammo from 303 to 287, gold ammo from 396 to 375
Object 140: credit ammo from 264 to 232, gold ammo from 331 to 311
Object 430: credit ammo from 264 to 232, gold ammo from 331 to 311

Here: http://forum.worldoftanks.asia/index.php?/topic/54901-98-supertest-penetration-nerf/

However, these are only part of the changes. The other half of the changes buff dispersion and aim times. So while there is less penetration, guns are more accurate.

Really, the gold rounds needed a nerf, and the above changes do nerf them. What these changes do is make it so people cannot blindly fire gold and pen no matter where they hit. Now people need to actually aim for weak spots, which personally I am in favor of.

the problem is gold rounds, not the normal rounds
this will cause more gold to be shot

i just dont understand the 113 nerf, it's already 1 of the worst tier X's, so lets make it worse?

lol yeah, that's atrocious pen for the 113. Why would they do that? I like the tank sometimes just because it is one of the best looking tanks in the game (IMO), but now it will hardly be worth taking out even occasionally.

the gold rounds nerf is not big enough to make a difference whatsoever. for example a jpe100 400 pen to what, 370?

and nerfing the regular AP rounds will just makes the players in tier 10 shell gold rounds non-stop.

"and nerfing the regular AP rounds will just makes the players in tier 10 shell gold rounds non-stop. "

Kind of controversial about the whole system of two types of ammo, making one so bad as to put why they have the system in place - the only likely answer seeming money.

Not money directly because not everyone pays with gold, but money helps get credits - buying premium tanks and premium subscription.

the best way to deal with this imho, is either
1) remove gold rounds completely (financially bad i suppose)
2) limit the amount to 10% of total ammo count
3) leave AP pen intact, and add 20% extra pen to gold round, while decreasing their damages by 10% and asking 4 times the regular price of AP.

Learning TD game play finally, sitting with the Hetzer with the derp 10.5cm and with gold it is just Op as all hell. One shot killed a full health Covenanter.

Got a bit bored of Heavy/Medium and never took on TD game play before.Need to learn much about it still.

Refreshing to bounce stuff off the front of a tank again.:p

yea i'm fine if they remove gold rounds entirely, however you'd need to buff certain gun penetration values on lower tier tanks so that they could do damage from the rear/sides. that or remove the +/- 2 MM.

i hope this is highly exaggerated. WZ-120 from 249 to 220? the gun is horrid as is, nerfing it would make no sense to play this tank at all.
nerfing the M48 too? This is worse than bad

Object 140: credit ammo from 264 to 232, gold ammo from 331 to 311
Object 430: credit ammo from 264 to 232, gold ammo from 331 to 311
T-62A: credit ammo from 264 to 232, gold ammo from 331 to 311
IS-8: credit ammo from 259 to 240, gold ammo from 340 to 300
ST-I: credit ammo from 259 to 240, gold ammo from 340 to 300
IS-4: credit ammo from 259 to 240, gold ammo from 340 to 300

this is interesting. this would leave the T10 meds with better guns then the T10 IS4 on gold at least and would be an even bigger and painful nerf for regular ammo

non of this makes sense but that's why it is so plausible with WG :(

The grind to my E75 seems like something i should do more then mess around grinding my IS-8 any more with this bs nerf coming about.E75 is holding to its 246 pen with AP on the 12.5 at least and its a overall better tank.Go from 225 to 240 with the next gun if this does happen......

The whole autoloader IS-3 is a desperate cash grab,i could see the spamming of this thing now and what was my favorite tier 8 pretty much is going to get crapped on.:( Anything happening to the IS-7 in 9.8?

IS-7.
Aim time from 3.4s to 3.1s.
Shot dispersion on movement and rotation from 0.21 to 0.19

we may be able to do away with the GLD on the is-7 now, we'll see

the e75 is a great tank, i kept mine after i got the e100. it can hold it's own in tier X games easily.

This is what I stated earlier but seems I was ignored :)

The pen changes are only half the changes. The same tanks all got changes to dispersion and aim time. Meaning if you can aim better for weak spots, the pen change isnt such a big deal. Just means people cannot spam gold without regard to where they are aiming.

Regarding the penetration test:

The numbers that were leaked were far from complete. The penetration nerf also includes some tier 8 and tier 9 tanks (below tier 8 it wasn't touched, tier 7 tank penetration will not be nerfed - it's possible only some lower tier gold ammo will be changed). The main idea is: penetration now is officially a balance value, there is no more need to argue with penetration historicity. The penetration values that leaked are NOT final (although the E-100 change apparently performed well and will likely stay).

The idea the developers got is the following:

- TD's are to have 240-250mm and above
- HT's are to have the second best penetratio between 232 and 250mm
- MT's are third with 202 to 240mm
- LT's would be the last with 175-220mm at max

Expect to see big changes overall. time to shoot gold or quit playing high tier tanks.

I've been thinking this for a while. Is th eobject of the game to acquire the biggest and baddest tanks ... or to just have fun playing whatever tanks that you have in your garage? I currently own nothing above tier 6 and most are below tier 4. I find the lower tier tanks to be the most fun to play, even if you have them fully equipped and at "elite" status.

:)

Don't shoot gold in general. It is nice to keep getting marksman medals though while causing no damage.

I own a variety of tanks, but the game is most balanced at tier 8 -10 imo. You don't fight monster tanks with useless peashooters or run into seal clubbers with 4 skilled crew slinging heat/APCR rounds. Tier 7 is another good tier of tanks to have. Tier 5 and below is iffy, since there are a few really hard tanks at that level that you can run into that you really just can't kill.
