Methinks they're introducing the Chinese before the Japanese because, well, lots of Chinese people play the game and the Japanese . . . not so much.

Historically speaking, though, silly move. Fighting the Japanese makes much more sense to me. Also, I want my Marder III, Nashorn and StuG IV.

What tanks would be included in the chinese line? I didnt know they had a domestic tank program in the 30s and 40s. Hell post war their designs are modified soviet designs.

And the japanese will be funny. Not exactly a tank power in WWII. May as well toss the Italians at the same time. lol

Only Jap tanks you can include in the WW2 era are lignt tanks comparable to the US M3/M5 and I don't think anybody wants to play them. For Warplane and Battleship games the Jap has plenty to offer though. The Chinese received some US tanks like the M3/M5 and Lees during the War. Post War the Chinese gets some Soviet clones. Don't think the Italians has much to offer either. I wonder if WoT will ever introduce some early MBTs into Tier 11, 12.

Need to grind silvers with my KV5 before my premium runs out in 2 days. I'm pretty satisfied with KV5 for the money ($30 iirc). With premium it can get 100k to 110k in epic win, 50k and 80k in good games, 30k in bad games. Service cost is around 10k if not dead, 10-20k if dead. The other tier 8 premium tanks are too expensive for me.

almost all chinese tanks until the late 60s are all russian tanks. Even the T-59 is based off the T-54.

Not sure japanese tanks are all that important to add, most of them were light tanks and I don't know if they even had any medium tanks. And forget tank destroyers... there's no development of any heavy TDs at all.

At this point: what nations would be even feasible to add in in the future?

Do we even know if anyone, other than the players in China, will have access to these Chinese tanks? If the Chinese have their own servers then we may not see the tanks on the other servers. I'm not sure what WG has in far off countries server wise.

Nashorn...look at Dicker Max.

Marder III = pz38T poor mans "Stug III"?

StugIV = JagpPz 4.

Sidenote:
Started gridning the Tiger II....damn that tank is sweet...

There really isnt any from WWII time period. I think they will have to start moving forwards with MBTs and compressing the tank tree's to accomodate them. Or expand to an 11th or 12th tier. We already have some early MBTs in the T62A, M48 Patton, the french tanks and the british line. The Centurion was used into the 80s. And they are planning to add the Leopard I which was an early MBT.

I'm sure they will. There's no point in developing a whole entire tank tree line just for china and then not use it in other places.

Nashorn - 494 actually built and fought in WWII
Marder III - 1,756 actually built and fought in WWII
StuG IV - 1,139 actually built and fought in WWII

I don't really care if they're similar to other TDs. Point is that they actually existed and fought. That's much more than can be said about any of the Chinese or French tanks.

I'm finding the Churchill 1 heavy tank pretty fun to use now that it is fully upgraded. Once you get the 75mm Vickers gun (last gun) you can pretty much do damage to anything you come across without fear of bouncing. Even in those Tier 7 battles that ocassional pop up. It is a tier six gun so performs decently nice. Most fights are Tier 5 battles. I'd say the breakdown so far is like 50%-60% Tier 5 battles, 30%-40% Tier 6 battles, and 10% Tier 7 battles. Something like that.

Pros:
Good frontal armor
75mm gun pens everything
fast firing and aiming guns
Makes decent cash

Cons:
Very weak to arty
Weak side and rear armor
Slow moving
Horrible gun depression

I'm running Gun rammer, Vents, and GLD. This tank needs a crew trained in Repairs in the worse way. You get tracked and you could be sitting there a while unless you have a repair kit. I'd say train in Repairs first before BIA. I havent had a crew to 100% yet so I been dealing with slow repairs when I cant use a repair kit. It does get tracked but nothing near as bad as say the ARL44 which also has exposed tracks.

I tried the M4 with HEAT just for kicks - and I think this thing is a keeper. With the bonus of the current Special I'm getting 45-65k games all the time with around 1.4k+ damage done. Looking at the log, the M4 will make a profit using 100% HEAT all the time even without the special...and the cries of KV-1s' and other heavies are just lovely.

What gun are you using with those HEAT rounds?

Ohhh NM, the 105 and premium rounds is just WRONG. I made 65k on a 7 kill game. My point total was more than the entire other team and I was only in the middle of the pack for tier weight. Wow. This is hilarious stuff!!!

The rounds are worth the credit cost, damn. This is like cheating!

I load up gold on my Cromwell then troll Tiger IIs, IS3s, and T32s.

Rough weekend. The idiots were out in force. Not sure how I managed a 45% win rate.

You just need to platoon more:

Didn't have that experience this weekend. I did relatively well and didn't have a 10-game losing streak or anything like that.

Got the obj 212 over the weekend though. And I have to say... I thought the S-51 was sluggish, but holy cow. The 212 takes slug to another level... It's like the unupgraded ferdinand with the stock engine when it turns. No wonder it loses so little dispersion on turning... the gun probably doesn't even know it's moving.

Yeah, platooning is the best way in public battles to get the best possible gaming experience. Each person though needs to choose a tank that compliments the other two. I don't platoon a lot but when I do I make sure my tank fits well with what the other two players are using. I have so many tanks I dont mind playing the supportive role to my platoon mates with whatever they are wanting to play.

I didn't really play much this past weekend. I was busy doing other stuff. Today I played a few battles. Just to get some 2x on my British tanks and a few battles on my Lowe. Four day weekend coming up again end of this week so I'll probably hit it hard then.

Half the challenge of platooning is finding platoon mates that share your same style of play. I have to say I'm a fairly aggressive tanker, and I like my platoon mates to be also. That way they are near the front lines with me, and we can support eachother. Also if you die before your platoon mate, be their support; let them know when tanks are/aren't looking at them so they can take shots, and keep an eye on the flanks to alert them if they need to go back to defend the cap.

With all that said, I had an awesome weekend and Vets day. Kept over a 75% win rate with around 200 or so games played (yeah I know, I didnt' have much else to do this weekend). Possessed and another clan mate and I trolled the pubbies with 3 object 704s where we probably went 40W-4L. Pushing and rolling together on the flat maps and city maps, its an almost unstoppable force. Any tank goes from full health to dead in meer seconds. The best part is just listening to what the teams have to say about 3 704s, especially when we are top tier.

Any good 3 man platoon gets a lots of insults from the other side...on a sidenote on the 704's.
They are easily pennable from front with premium ammo...killed on this weekend that didn't realize that fact...premium ammo is nice in a though spot...but they sure do bounce too ;)

The 704s front armor is meh. Anything with over 200 pen shouldn't have a problem penning frontally. The bigger issue is not hitting the gun manlet, which is seemingly impervious and is about 30% of the front of the tank. That and another 15% or so of the front is actually just the track covers, which you'll get a 0 damage pen for. I've got a few steel walls in this beast before.

On another note. Sure you can pen the 704, but I have 1600hp and I'll take a hit for 250-450hp to hit you for ~900. Thats a fair trade in most cases. That and when there are 3 of us together, you are most likely going to get your one shot off, and then cease to exist as 3 BL-10s of doom wipe you off the map in an instant.
