Is that why I'm getting nearly 1 shotted in an is-4 by arty? I can see the crying from arty players now. Think this is a good change as it moves the game from being arty-centric to tank centric... like it's supposed to be.

It FUCKS over every single HE gun in the game. M4 Sherman 105mm, Hetzer 10.5cm, SU-152mm/KV 152, VK2801.... they all suffer horrendously.

They could turn HE into a complete non-issue except from arty direct hits.

That sounds really bad for the derp guns in general. The SU-152 would be probably the worst off since the 122mm is useless as a TD gun at that tier. Although are you sure its not a bug that the new armor models is completely negating HE damage?

Example, the 152 has like 90mm of penetration. How is that damage calculated? Does it try to pierce the outer skirt first and then apply the rest of the HE damage or does it just try to burn through the skirts with the damage?

I used that as an example. It applies for direct HE hits too, they're seeing many more HE bounces now as a result.

wow with what appears to be changing with HE, all the lower tier tanks in the match are pretty much cannon fodder, at least right now you can get that 1% damage sometimes and hope for module damage LOL

That's all based on Test #1. Test #2 has been up I think, not sure if they want a third test.

However, the main part of this test is Clustered Server testing because the one server in Russia cannot cope with all of the Russians playing WoT.

I know HE can bounce in WoT. It does it regularly depending on the shell you're firing and the tank you're firing at.

Realistically, I doubt even weak HE shells would bounce unless the angle of contact was so extreme that the shell would not explode on the enemy tank.

So, I finally saved enough and grinded out my POS Tiger II and got the E-75. WOW. What a huge difference. I burned up all my free XP but it was worth it to get the 12.8cm gun.

This tank bounces the big boys when I angle it right, it's slow, but still need the big engine and it's just fun to play. Much much better than the Tiger II. I really like this one. Great tank.

Now to grind more on my IS-3 and get an IS-4!

Hopefully they'll take their time with .7 and get it right. Better to take an extra month, two, or however long they need than rush it out and have majorly pissed off gamers. Do it right the first time instead of having to go back a second or third to fix stuff. Just my opinion.

The "Bounce" comes from extreme angles or the armor absorbing all of the impact from the explosion. Forgot what degree but all shells bounce after a certain point... like 75+ degrees. But you're right with the extreme angles.

People will be pissed off no matter what. People were pissed about getting a free tank to replace panther, free tank to replace t20, pissed off about e-75, pissed off about not being able to research the maus from the KT line, blah blah blah. The loud stupid ones are always the voice of the official forums, which is why I tend to stay away from it.

I for one don't really give a horse's ass as long the patch doesn't break the game.

The KT is quite frankly the best Tier 8 heavy imo just edging out the T32 because it's not always able to hide it's paper hull.

I haven't started to enjoy my E-75 yet. I'm finding it to be a bit paper thin right now, even though I know it's a bouncer. I'm lacking the turret and the 12.9 so I'm sure it will all change then.

Really, I just cannot be hassled with WoT at the mo. Did play Company Battles with TS support with my clan. 9 battles, 7 wins, 2 losses.

Fuck I hate starting new tanks. Stock vk 3601 is a POS. Pros: beefy/armor. Cons: slow, gun wasn't even decent in tier 5.

But they drop me in tier 9 battles. wtf. If we win, I barely make any money or any exp b/c there's literally nothing to do. If we lose, I lose money b/c repair costs like doubled/tripled from tier 5 to 6 & income didn't change at all. GAH

People keep saying that about the KT, but I found it never bounced anything due to the tanks it faces. It was just weak. The speed didn't allow it to outmanuever anything and that gun is just pitiful. I really hated the tank and enjoy driving the IS-3 more than I do the KT.

I've found the E-75 to be much more survivable with it's armor. In a game I killed 6 in I went head to head with an IS-4, bounced all his rounds and killed him and the T-54 with him without taking any damage. Angling the hull and protecting the side of the tank makes it really hard to hurt.

I have the 12.8cm though so it makes a big difference, people fear that gun like on the Ferdinand and really changes how they approach an E-75 I think once they get a taste of it. It makes their willingness to line up a weakspot shot on an E-75 that much less and rushes shots, letting even more of those rounds bounce against that thick frontal armor.

But to each their own, I for instance love the IS-3 despite it's weak armor due to the gun and speed. Not too many would take it over a KT.

I like the Is-3, haven't tried out the KT yet but I didn't mind fighting them in the IS. The IS-3 doesn't have good armor, but the speed and punchy gun was really nice. It has a lot more options than the KT due to that fact of it simply being maneuverable. I think the people who hate the IS-3 probably had to grind out most of it using the 122... I used free exp and went straight to the BL-9.

As for fighting E-75s... those things bounce even obj 704 shots easily so it's annoying. I can only get reliable penetration on an E-75 if its a side shot or if I'm hugging it so close that i can get a shot at the lower glacis.

Once the E-75 is upgraded with turret, big gun, and last engine its a really good tank. My biggest gripe is that with arty numbers often you have to play hide the big metal thingy so you don't get killed before getting some kills of your own. One or two arty per side its not too bad but get like four or five arty per side type battle and basically its a useless tank. Better to have a fast medium so you can at least dodge incoming shells while on the move.

I hide in arty shadows wherever I go just to avoid the pesky arty strikes. However on some maps you'll just be SOL like el haluf, campinova and that new map with the big valley and the broken bridge down the middle.

Ever have a tank that is just cursed?

Almost all of my tanks have the typical 45&#37;-55% win ratio (52% overall) since they are played exclusively in random battles. My IS...39% after 102 battles. WTF? The matchmaker just loves to put that tank in total failure-prone teams. You all know the teams - 2 minutes into the match your side has 5-10 dead and you're doing your job properly by defending a choke point or pushing.

I HATE THIS STUPID TANK. Ok, the tank is not terrible, but it just seems to be drawn to total suck teams.
