If you want to see a 'bad' or 'horrible' design just look at the ARL 44. The French designers were still thinking WW1 even after they got invaded, beat, and occupied, by the Germans in the 1940s. LOL

I'm staying at E75 with that line. I just can't force myself to get the E100, I've taken them 1v1 with my E75 and I just don't fear them.

Instead saving the credits for the IS4 for when it buffs to tier 10.

the gun hurts soooo much if it pens though. but I'm stopping at the E-75 as well, its just fun to play overall.

Just got a T28 today to grind toward the KV. Wow, I think this tank has armors made of sheet-metal. I think the grind is going to be as bad as the Lee, maybe worse. Hopefully when I get the 85mm it'll get better, but at this rate it's going to take a while.

I hated that tank so much. There was literally almost nothing redeeming about it.

I thought grinding the 50k to the IS4 would be tough, not so. This thing just prints experience!

You don't want the 85mm, you want the 57mm machine gun. The T-28 is a beast. Play it like a light tank... like amx 12t or 13 75. You're pretty quick & you fire really fast, but your armor is awful and you can't take a hit at all. You aren't going to 1v1 anything but you can do serious damage running into an engagement and flanking shit. The gun is also decently accurate so you can fire on unsuspecting enemies from range and do good damage there too.

I think I had a 60%+ win rate in the T-28 and this was one of my early tanks (which is to say I sucked worse then than I do now).

I haven't played in a T-28 since beta but the 85mm gun is pretty decent for its tier level. The tank has tin foil for armor but that 85mm gun is decent for sniping. Not as accurate as the 57mm but does more damage. The T-28 is not suited for the front line and if you try to use it that way you'll end up dead most of the time. I do see people using it for flanking and scouting but they tend to die a lot when I see them. It is a easy tank to damage and out right kill with one shot. Has good top speed but turn rate is not all that good. Better to use it as a support or lay back and snipe with it IMO.

I went the 85mm route, finally unlocked it. I had the similar gun on my SU-85B, so I play it more like a fast turreted TD and I am having some success with it. The 85 can even put some hurt on the KVs, and can one-shot lower tiers easily. Now I like it more than the Lee.

I hated the T28. I revel in killing them on the battlefield. It was such a horrible tank. When I finally got the KV. I didnt sell it, but instead put one shell in it and went on a suicide mission. Then left the burned out hulk in my garage.

I didn't mind the T28 all that much. The tank I hated to play was the A-20. Sure it was fast in a straight line, but the gun couldn't hurt anything and it seemed that tank is considered a scout by MM so you were always fighting tanks tiers above you, in which case you were usually useless. My brother and I used to just wait 2-3 min in our spawn and then rush the enemies cap with them, amazingly we won alot of games that way.

horrible game yesterday, it was me in my E100 with another guy in a T30, the other team had a maus and an is-7. the map was lakeville, we spawned in the south. so i'm headed to town, the t30 covered valley. we get to the 1st set of buildings and i have with me an is-4, t29, 3001p, couple of french tanks and a t44.

i spot the maus and is-7, we start trading shots and everything is pen'ng me and i'm bouncing off both of them >_<
i realize this isn't working and we need to push forward as we have #'s.
i teamchat i will push forward, take the initial hits, you guys follow me and flank/box them in. they reply ok, i move forward, take 2 more hits, facehug the maus.
i'm wondering why they're taking no hits, i look @ the mini map, and all 6 of the tanks that were with me, went lower town.............

I had a string of horrible games in my E8, sad thing is I did a bunch of damage in all of them and easily got 600-800 exp on all the losses. I never understand how the rest of the team can just melt away when me and 2 guys are keeping the top 3 tanks on the other team occupied.

I've learned to never depend on your team in a pub match. I've ended up losing so many games when I have 3+ kills it gets very frustrating at times.

I did have an awesome game yesterday playing with my brother and a friend. My brother and I were in ISes and my friend was in a tiger. We were on the map thats a city with the courtyard in the middle (i never remember the damn names). We were in the bottom third on our team and we decided to hang around in our base for a few min since the other team had a few type 59s.

Sure enough within a min or 2 a 59 comes from the hill and engages our AMX that was there. We roll over and all get a hit on him and he's dead with only getting a single hit on our AMX. He bitched in global chat, which we all found hillarious. My brother and friend then roll up on the east side of town to support our IS-7 thats fighting it out with the tier 9 russian TD (object whatever) an IS-4 and IS-3. Its a standoff thats going nowhere fast. However I decided to go through the courtyard to try and flank, since I noticed the rest of the enemy team was over by the tracks. Sure enough there is no one in the courtyard and I end up rolling up behind the object that is only at 400 life and killing him. The IS-3 and 4 left dont want to turn to attack me b/c that leaves them open to our IS-7 and my brother and friend. I sit there and pop 3 rounds into the engine of the IS-4, almost killing him. They then both finally decide to turn at me. At that point they get obliterated by my team before getting a shot on me.

All 4 of us then roll up into thier base to find a lone IS-7 which we surround and kill and then commence to cap for the win.

Heavy vs medium battle. Who wins!

I will save you the suspence and tell you we got our doors blown off. Wiped us out while we only killed 3 of their's.

They massed in the open area and rushed our base overwhelming our two mediums and lone TD. Killed our arty. By the time the heavies moving through the city reversed course and tried to defend our base it was a wall of steel coming from their guns and chewed us up along with really good arty. Then they moved onto the last heavies still moving towards their base.

I was one shot by a GW Tiger as I was backing up across the street while trying to defend our base.

Even for a GW tiger it's hard to 1 shot anyone unless it blew up your ammo rack, you sure it wasn't BOTH arties aiming at you?

That setup seems perfect to form a huge wolfpack (or 2 small ones) to chew up everything though. You got 2 arties, you can spot and those tier 8s and non-is4 tier 9s should fall to flanking shots very easily. The map also makes a difference though.

whenever I see a large number of mediums on the enemy team, the best thing to do is tell your team to defend (preferably a few times, since it takes a few reads before the stupid people start to listen). If half your team is camped out in base you can easily halt a medium rush. Once the first medium gets decimated in around 2-3 seconds, it paralyzes the rest with fear. Once a pack of mediums has to resort to PAB tactics the advantage swings greatly to the heavies favor.

the funny thing to me is everyone tries super hard to kill me in the type59, i could give a rats ass, it pours credits even if i die right away and never fire a shot LOL. 1/2 my rounds i just rush to get 1-2 hits in before i die.

i wish mm wasn't so flawed, i finally got in a game where i was in the med heavy side and we just completely dominated the map.

The map was ensk so half of it is a city. The mediums came from the open area hard and killed our arties right off the bat. Our team didnt defend that area at all. I would have if the game didnt spawn me furthest from the base. So I went with the other heavies into the city hoping they would try to duke it out. I laughed as I saw the mass of mediums coming in from the railroad tracks. But then tried to help. But we came in piecemeal and were decimated by their fire. It is a classic example of publics where one team has what I would call an equipment advantage but lacks any coordination and loses badly

edit: on a related note, I *HATE* the derp KV. Godamn that pos does so much damage. How do you turn your high tier tanks so that you don't take like 400+ damage from that shit? I swear once it did 600 or 700 to my KT *from the front*.

Are you sure about the terrible accuracy I've been hit by those fuckers from decent ranges like 300, 350m. I know the paper accuracy is terribad but geez. Even in the replay above, i dont think the guy misses at all and he had some 200-300m shots.

20s reload time sure, but on the flip side, any other tier5 would take... infinity seconds to do 600 damage to a KT from the front. That time I actually died D: I knew I could get off 2 shots before he could fire again. They both bounced! Then some arty knocked my tracks off and game fucking over. Infuriating.

Normally when I see KV, I'm like "oh no big deal, ill rape it" but I'm growing more and more scared of them b/c... what if it's a derp?!?! NOOOOO!!!

If you arent moving I can hit you from distance. Even the slightest move makes it nearly impossible to hit you.

For the most part when I play the tank, I try to find confined areas where I can shoot you point blank. Because while I can get some awesome long shots with it. More often than not it will miss.

I also suspect with lower tier tanks I may not even be hitting them when they are slightly moving in the distance as much as splash damage gets them on longer shots. Higher tier tanks are tougher. I can shoot IS4's and take 10-15% off their life while they one shot me. And sometimes it bounces as well.

accuracy is horrible however once in awhile it will hit, my longest derp shot from my kv was about 580m LOL i was so suprised it actually hit and took off a huge chunk from a KT
