I love when people do that to me online. I've walked a bunch of times because of it, I'm in no hurry when I bat. Its about the only time I have any patience

Can anyone confirm that you can't use timing for batting online ? I've started using pure analog now but I strike out more since I hesitate a lot and I don't know all the swings with the stick.

Could you see the stream at all sze? I was definitely using pure timing (just pressing X, square, or whatever when I see the pitch crossing the plate) when playing with you yesterday. I tried to go through the settings again to see if I was doing anything different, but I could not find anything out of the ordinary in my settings.

Yea the stream did not show you hitting lol only me hitting or pitching. Oh well I actually started using pure analog for hitting. It's actually pretty tough but I think I may have got the hang of it.

Oh, haha, that's silly, I had no idea it worked that way. I will have to record myself next time.

Hey Maj, sorry I could not play once you got on last night, I had to be at work for 6:00 this morning and needed to get to sleep. Will catch up with you another day.

It's fun playing against a real person.

I am bummed to find out that they took online coop against the AI out of this game. That was a really fun mode that I used to play. Now with that gone and their servers still sucking big time, I see no reason to even go online with this years version.

Between trtts and the franchise mode you really don't need to go online, there's plenty to do single player. I never play NBA 2k14 online anymore either just the myplayer

I also notice on rtts, for base running you don't have to do anything at all. Your guy will run by himself, stop by himself if it's a foul. A lot of times I'm just sitting there watching and the pitcher will throw it to whatever base I'm at and gets me out because I can't get back on base? He steps off without me pressing r1 though. So I don't think you actually have to do anything on base running unless you want to steal, in that case just push the stick forward.

Your player will auto-advance only if he's forced to. If you're on third and nobody is behind you, I don't believe he will advance by himself (unless you have auto baserunning turned on).

Your player will always take a standard lead off a base without your input, but you're responsible for extending the lead, initiating a steal attempt, or getting back to first on a pickoff attempt.

I've never played an online game in any version of The Show... so much to do offline that online has never really intrigued me (and the online play in the past was always poor).

Haha, it's alright. After tonight I'll be off for the next 3 days. I love playing online but I'm not gonna lie I took some pretty bad beatings today. I think a game between us would be pretty fun since we're both new to "the Show".

My overall record is 12-14, a losing record.

Anybody here play with the balk setting on? I faced this one individual online who had it on and it took me forever to figure out what was going on. It cost me 2 or 3 runs. I personally don't like it because I just want to hurry up and pitch. Still have a lot to learn.

Yeah for sure, need to get a game on.

I played online for the first time last night and I went 1-1 against sze, but he was stuck with some crappy hitting mechanics, so it seemed to not be entirely fair. Was still fun though and if you play the quick style, the game goes pretty fast so even if you are losing, it's not too painful.

Pitching seemed a little OP to me, but it could just be because I suck and have no patience. 😀

Try to set pitching to classic. It helps a lot. You just hold x for how fast you want to throw. Just don't hold too long because it screws up accuracy.

Played another game against a friend today and he also used timing hitting in an online exhibition. I must be missing a setting. I know how to hit with analog but it's a 50% chance each time that I actually hit so I set it back to timing for single player.

When I play an online exhibition I just go in and select a team. As far as the settings I just accept what is randomly coming my way. Some will be full games and some will partial only. I think if you go into a room/lobby you have more to work with.

I second using classic for pitching and timing for batting. I might eventually switch to the meter for pitching though . but as of right now I need improve on the game as a whole.

Oh and keith if you play some online random games watch out for balks if you like pitching in a hurry. Luckily I've only ran across one user with this setting on.

Cool, thanks, I'll try that. Good to know. Happy to hear that I am not the only one that has timing going online. 😀

Hmm, ok. I know what a balk is in general, but not sure how it would come up in an online game. :hmm: I do tend to want to pitch quickly though, so I will keep an eye out for it. Thanks.

Me and sze5003 played a couple games last night. I had a good time playing but I will admit the game was not perfect playing online. Our first game dropped on the first pitch and our last game dropped in the 8th inning. We did get two games in tho and they played fine.

There is a slight delay batting online, which I expected but the lag is no where near as bad as it is on NBA 2k14. I had a good time playing and I'll be online today after 4pm eastern if any one wants to get a game in

Yeah and there is no timing hitting online. I had Bman check his settings for our match and his interface for hits said zone. He was just not moving the left stick to aim. I started doing the same and actually was able to hit a few pitches. I wish I better understood how pure analog worked.

Weird, I will have to investigate this again. I swear I did not see any sort of yellow circle or whatever that moved when I pressed the left stick when I was playing against you sze. I just pressed the button for my swing and that was it.

I could be nuts though, so who knows.
