Surprisingly no one started a thread for this game and I don't want to clutter up the ps4 thread taking about it. I'm getting the game tomorrow and I'll post my thoughts on it. I've never played the show on ps3 so this game is all new to me.

It's never good to hold reviews back until after the game releases. I have a bad feeling about this one

I was thinking the same thing I haven't seen anything about it on ps4 other then people on the operation sports forum talking about it. I figured somewhere would have some kind of legit review for it.

I dunno, just seems weird. Infamous reviews went up a day early which gives you time to decide if it turned out good enough to get it on release. It's not like you can't wait, but I would just like to see if I should even bother.
 
I've checked around trying to gather some info and from what I can gather it will play just like the PS3 version, with updated graphics. Developors hinted they didn't want to take risk this early on a new console.

Check PS3 the show review to get a general ideal of what to expect on the PS4. Since I've never owned "The Show" on any Sony hardware I might pick this up for the 4
 
I've got it on pre-order as well, through Amazon. So God knows when it will actually get here, but no rush.

First off, The Show 13 was, inarguably, one of the best sports games I've played. Of any sport.

It's not perfect, but it was so "out of the box" enjoyable, with some of the smallest, easiest "slider tweaks" I've ever had to do to a game, and without the horrible inorganic/robotic feeling of EA games like Madden.
For that reason alone, and the fact that it's literally the only real baseball offering anymore, I'm going to pick it up.

It's not uncommon for some games to not get reviews until the day of. What I've found is that usually games that aren't riding some hype train are like that.
 
There is one of the games developers streaming the game right now answering all kinds of questions and he's talking about all kinds of stuff that's in the game. Should check it out if you are home

I watched the stream on IGN with Hunter Pence and Yasiel Puig playing.

Hard to judge graphical quality, but many of the animations look recycled it seems.

Not that I'm expecting a whole new game experience after one year.
 
That video you watched has been out for a while anyone with a ps4 that didn't catch the stream I watched earlier really missed out. I'm buying this game for sure after what I saw and heard tonight
 
Ign has updated their review(does not appear sites will be reviewing the ps4 game separately)with some ps4 info. Basically you get the ps3 game with better graphics so the score from the ps3 game is about right also for ps4. The only two gripes specific to the ps4 were longer load times (maybe due to the new animations and increased model count for the crowd) and some frame rate hiccups in the non-gameplay animations (I presume that means in certain replays and such).

Otherwise it looks solid and they say that if you have the option the ps4 version is the obvious choice. The gameplay and everything is exactly the same, which is not a bad thing. The big difference is the graphics, they compared the character models to NBA 2k14 which was/is pretty impressive to me anyway.

I read polygon and ign reviews. They gave it an 8 and 8.5. Looks good enough. This morning metacritic only had one score as an 80 on there.

I think I'll pick it up either today or Thursday as that's when money goes into my bank. But I would hate to see it drop price in a week or two. I would not mind waiting either. But that probably will not happen.

The show is a huge game for the ps4 I doubt the price will go down soon but i do remember best buy having Xbox one games for $40 new by Christmas
 
I just want them to fix their online servers. The show's servers the last few years have been garbage, and people are saying the same for this years ps3 version.

There's been a lot of XB-one game deals, but they've never been matched with PS4 game deals even if it was a game available on both. There seems to be a push to get more games moving on the XB-one that isn't being matched on the PS4 side.
 
I wanna go and grab this while I'm not doing anything but sitting in meetings at work right now.

But I also want to play it tonite and I won't get time to.
