Yet during the Zimmerman affair their were multiple attacks on whites in the name of Trayvon including a murder.

There have already been attacks on whites in Ferguson by protesters for being in the wrong place at the wrong time - even when those whites were there to protest with them.

So they may want the head of Darren Wilson, but make no mistake - They are occasionally taking their outrage out on others.

There were many random attacks. Police attacked reporters who tried to cover the story. Police attacked citizens who were peacefully protesting.

I don't think that's new money.

The state spends money on the process. Research, etc. I'm pretty sure that wasn't the full cost of the trial but it could be the partial cost to the state for Zimmerman's attorneys as in Florida the state is financially liable for the defendant's legal expenses if the state can't prove their case.

Why don't you go down to Ferguson and ask the black protestors what they would be satisfied with. It is my understanding that they will settle for nothing less than the arrest, trial and conviction of Wilson. This is not a few random malcontents.... this is an entire fucking community.

You don't like my suggestion? How about this, have a grand jury composed of individuals taken from the pool of protestors rather than white surbanites. There will be no justice here because whites see justice completely different than blacks in this case. Either the whites or the blacks are going to get screwed in this case. The consequences to society if the blacks get screwed are downright terrifying. They sound like they are more than willing to burn the entire city to the ground.

I thought we had schools so people wouldn't say things like this.

So let's get this on record. If there is no indictment are you saying that there will or will not be riots? If there are will you as forcefully condemn them as others have condemned Wilson, or Brown for that matter, in advance of the findings? Or will you point to police or Zimmerman or someone or something else to justify the violence? Obviously if no one is harmed then that's great, really. Is that what you judge will happen?

Considering that businesses were burned by rioters it is not unreasonable to think that behavior would notgo away. If it doesn't happen excellent and you are vindicated, but that wasn't my question to you. I personally don't think anything about black people in the sense that I do not believe that are so inferior that they cannot control themselves or be held accountable for their actions any more than whites. I'm color agnostic. If you beat another, rob them, burn their homes or means of earning a livelihood I don't care if you are lilly white or ebony black or anywhere in between. I don't care that someone else did or did not do something somewhere else. I know you have purposefully harmed another and neither race nor status changes that fact. You have done wrong, period.

While I have empathy in come cases, an understanding of motivation, that doesn't change the facts. If a family member was murdered I cannot guarantee my response, but no matter what that is, for good or ill, I am ultimately the one who made the choice to act as I did. If I hold myself to this standard I am not going to permit another to exercise the right of harm with impunity. The exception is the defense of oneself or another and yes in the proper manner when issues of law arise. That means I do not condone police beating people needlessly.

You either accept that or do not. You either hold accountable for wrongs or you excuse or deflect. There's really no wiggle room here.

We have the Rodney King riots as precedent that violent, destructive riots can occur after an unfavorable court decision. We also have the pre-grand jury actions as proof that some want to use this situation to destroy. There were no such pretrial destruction in Sanford, FL.

Personally, I hope there is no violence. But more importantly than that, I hope that somehow people can understand that "the other side" is not out to hunt them down and kill them whenever the opportunity arises. There is a perception gap between what people think and what reality actually is, that needs to be closed. Or at least narrowed. I don't see that happening here.

Riots aren't "organized efforts" either, genius. FOLLOW. Dismissing the violence before the announcement as not being indicative of the expected violence after because it was "not organized" is pretty damned stupid. NEITHER would be "organized." That's the ESSENCE of a riot.

I live/work in St. Louis.

Well, reporters in the past are different from reporters today.

The idealistic reporters of the past observed, recorded, and retold. Reporters today create stories through their own direct actions, then record and retell it as if they were passive observants (which they weren't). It crosses the line into activist territory.

I'd have to look back, I know there was an article that made Yahoo's news feed about reporters coming together and sharing techniques to "peacefully" antagonize police into giving them the reactions they desire and how to record and retell the event, in preparation for events after the grand jury decision.

Reporters today are not sacred people of great integrity deserving of higher praise above other individuals. You talk about attacks on reporters as if it's a mortal sin to commit. It's no more a sin than dealing with any other individual out there.
