There is nothing that is similar to real life here.

Millennial are all at least 21 years old right now and up to 37 years.

"Milennial" <> "youth"

The whole Millennials are lazy and entitled narrative came out as a response to the massive Millennial unemployment crisis after the Boomers crashed the economy in 2008 from their rampant greed.

There's no evidence to show that Millennials are lazier than other generations.

Boomers not only didn't take responsibility for fucking over Millennials, they tried to shift the blame onto them. Fucking sociopaths.

the range is far too broad

ill be 37 this year and i have nothing in common with those even 7 years younger that myself. 21 year olds might as well be a alien race to me at this point

Exactly - I see this over and over. "Millennials this.." and "Millennial that..."
People don't even realize "Millennials" can be nearing 40 years old. Just ignorance and stupidity.

Millennials are definitely not 30+, I'm mid thirties and I see a lot of others in their lower to mid twenties act a lot differently than those who are 30+.

The definitions are too fluid. I've seen myself (34) labeled as GenX, GenY, 'internet generation', Millennial, GenZ, and probably a few more in between.

As a gen-x, scapegoating millennials is the stupidest thing I've seen.

An older coworker of mine posted this same vid on FB. I had to stop myself from commenting.

But that's exactly the problem. You are a millennial. So are those in the lower to mid twenties. The range is too broad and is generally just pretty stupid. It isn't that you aren't a millennial - it's that the range makes no sense.

I'm 30 and a Millennial. I can already see that 30-40 is just going to be a very different decade from 20-30. And I also feel like this has been, and will continue to be the case, no matter the generation. The latter decade involves no saving, living it up, and #hashtag #blessed #nofilter all day, whereas the other involves settling down, no longer going out past 9pm, and starting a family.

Millenial generation starts for those born in 1982-83 and ends around 1997. Millennials first graduated from high school in the year 2000. There seems to be a common misunderstanding Millennials were born at the turn of the century. So we are looking at people who are 35-36 right now being part of the millennial generation.

And in general the label seems to be applied to young overly self centered douche bags even if they are not part of the generation.

ha born in 81

but i still thing the age gap is wrong. people didn't start talking about "millennials" until people started entering the workforce in the 2008-10 time-frame which 4-6 years after i graduated from college. my brother was born in '84 and i don't even thing he qualifies as one. honestly i wouldn't start the grouping till 86-88

And I never heard the term Millennial until maybe 8 years ago. I'm sure some random schmuck at some conference coined the term in '198x' but when I was in high school, we were GenX. I was told that by councilors, teachers, and the news. Wasn't until later that shit got re-categorized.

Born in '83.

So, just like people wrongly calling kids born in 2002 and in high school now Millennials? It seems we don't really assign a name to a generation until about half of them are adults, until then those that are adults many times get called the same as the generation before.

Born in '82.
