Get ready for America to be invaded by skinny and malnourished North Koreans

They wouldn't get further than the first all you can eat buffet. :p

Oh, and I didn't realise how many of you are hilariously unbalanced. Please carry on it's most entertaining.

How about you open up your brainwashed eyes... It's one thing to train in a mil city with mock targets, but to equip helis with blank .50 rounds and have them test fire on innocent civilians on a Miami highway is a totally different situation. There is no comparison.

Do you have any evidence whatsoever that they were "test firing" on civilians? I expect not. The fact that they were firing in a civilian area implies nothing about who or what was being targeted.

Honestly the paranoia some people have toward the government never ceases to amaze me.

How do you know they didnt have shell catches on them? Like i said its all people talking like they know something. So bring all of the weirdos out and lets debate this.

Who cares???

Again, get a group of innocent civilians (or national guard, or whatever), have them test fire blanks at a military base and see what happens... Even with 'shell catches'. Rofl.

Your diehard allegiance to your gang is blatantly obvious. There is NO excuse for firing ANY type of round out of a military helicopter at civilians. You trying to defend this gang who is terrorizing innocent civilians says a lot about you.

Tell us.. What were they "practicing" for?

They were above a miami highway, with the nose pointed down, raining shells down on top of people as part of a coordinated LEO/military training excersize.

Come on... give us any justifiable explanation for this.

It was an exercise. Again, there is no evidence they targeted any civilians. A military exercise isn't something that needs to be "justified." As for whether or not it was a well-chosen place and time, that depends on the nature of the exercise and why they were doing it, neither of which you or I know anything about. I expect it was a counter-terrorism exercise, though that is not altogether clear.

Your use of the phrase "raining down shells" seems awfully melodramatic when that video shows only several (not several hundred or several thousand) shots being fired, all of which were blanks. Is your implication that this represents some kind of training for a military takeover of the US, or what?

Yup, keep on like the lemming you are.

Just because they call it a military exercise does not automatically mean we need all go run to the basement, plug our ears, and let them fire rounds on innocent people.

I'm asking you, give some logical justification for them firing rounds over a miami highway as a coordinated exercise between LEO and military. No, they didn't give us a reason, so justify it.

Keep on like the irrational, name-calling paranoiac you (apparently) are.

There is no evidence of any rounds being fired on innocent people. No rounds were fired on anyone, as they were all blanks, and the video shows nothing about who or what, if anything, was targeted. There is no reason to believe any civilian was ever endangered in any way.

I could envision all kinds of logical justifications for this, most obviously an anti-terrorism drill. Obviously if the government just announced why they were doing this to make you more comfortable, it could undermine the benefit of the drill, depending on its nature, because if it is, for example, an anti-terrorism drill, terrorists would learn the nature of the way the military and LEO are training and drilling. I don't personally find the drill anything scary, as I am a military veteran and have been involved in numerous real-world and drill deployment situations, and it doesn't strike me as something that requires justification.

Since you're the one who's so incensed about this, what exactly is your concern?

No. You should automatically run to your bunker, check your supplies, cuddle your favourite firearm and alert the internet to the impending takeover of the United States.

The world salutes you.

Anti terrorism.. Rofl.. That is the trendy excuse for everything the gang does nowadays isn't it?

I honestly have no idea, but it certainly isn't anti terrorism.

And to me, there is no justifiable excuse for flying mil helis around Miami firing rounds out of it.

What, precisely, are you basing that conclusion on? You've admitted you don't know why this drill was being done.

The only theory you've postulated is that the military is "practicing" shooting at innocent civilians in Miami. To me this is an absurd theory because the military has no shortage of experience in real-world and mock urban combat (plus there is no precedent in American history for organized military mass violence of this nature against American citizens), but that's all you've come up with. It would seem likelier to me that the military and LEO were drilling for how they would respond within Miami's geography to a terrorist attack or something similar.

I am saying that I do not care why this drill was done, whatever the reason, it is inappropriate.

Anti terrorism, getting citizens accustomed to military helis firing rounds down at people, it doesn't matter to me.

And this concept that we should just blindly accept it is ridiculous.

To be fair they did not fire live rounds, they fired blanks. They msde a bunch of scary noise and nobody wasin any danger.

So turn the tables... Can a civilian militia, or national guard, or anyone fire blanks at a military base? They're just blanks, it's just a bunch of noise, and there's nothing to worry about at all unless the military does something bad.

This total lack of accountability towards our government disgusts me.

Blanks or not, "shell catcher" or not, firing ANYTHING from a military heli above miami is totally unacceptable. This is what our tax dollars are going towards? Ridiculous.

Im not defending the event, just pointing out using the phrase "firing rounds" makes it sound like real bullets were being shot.

Depending on the base, civilians can fire rounds ON a military base.

Bases are often very large, and can overlap with public hunting grounds Once I was on a training FOB, we were all sitting ther with blanks in our weapons, waiting for the "enemy" (more marines with blanks in their weapons). And only 100 yards from where we were, hunters were taking down wild turkeys with high caliber rifles.

No one panicked. Can you believe it?

How about I charter a helicopter and go around shooting blank rounds out of it at a military base?

Really depends on the base. Honestly, most bases in the USA wouldn't even notice. There aren't guard towers all around the perimiter with people waiting for an air assualt. Most bases are guarded by nothing more than a fence and a gate with a rent a cop checking ID's.

Doing that around something like Camp David or the Whitehouse would probably get you shot down, but those aren't military bases. Go figure.

I promise you... If someone was shooting .50 cal rounds out of a chartered heli it would be taken care of very quickly. Either military base or over a miami highway.

Because one random nutter that nobody knows about shooting blanks from a large calibre gun on a helicopter is exactly the same as the situation in the op.

Let it go

Why?

The only purposes I can see for this exercise would be to (1) get the military/LEO used to discharging weapons in flight over a real US city, and (2) to get US citizens conditioned to accept this as normal.

Why would the government need to do this? I can only assume it's because the government intends to do this in the future.

So these "No Hesitation" targets showing women and children as enemies, do they look like typical Americans? Are you being trained to shoot Americans? Sick.

Targets like that are designed soley to remove hesitation from the shooter. If they shoot at the targets enough, they will be trained to shoot the real thing without hesitation.
It's conditioning. That's what the military is all about. Especially for troops that actually are going to shoot guns at people, military training is designed with the goal of training the soilder to kill his enemy. They used to just shoot at outline targets, then pictures of "Terrorists" now it's Americans with guns.

While I'm not sure of the viewpoint of the following site, it does link to a lot of established news organizations and videos of Military training in US cities.

Something is going on, what we won't know until it happens. Is the US Government prepping to invade our cities? Are they training for possible intervention in Syria? Why does DHS need 1.6 Billion rounds of ammo? To put it into context, that's 24 years worth of ammo if it is used at the rate it was used at the height of the Iraq war.

Wow. That is ridiculous. "anti terrorism" amirite.

What a friggin joke. You're either part of the gang, or you aren't. And listen to the brainwashed gang members on here saying "let it go". Disgusting.
