I'm working on a forum solution this evening - stay tuned.

OK, the config is extremely basic but we are up and running! You won't be able to see anything until you register. Instructions:

  1. Register on the forum USING YOUR AT USERNAME. I'm not going to be bothered trying to figure out some kind of username mapping. If it doesn't match exactly you won't get approved!
  2. Send me a PM on AT to verify that you did in fact register, so I know it wasn't some random user trying to gain access in your name.

http://mmhk.forumer.com/

I'm heading to bed now and I'll be watching my daughter in the morning, so I may not be able to approve anyone until Saturday afternoon.

EDIT: TCR, I sent an alliance broadcast with a pointer to this post (please point to this post, not the forum, otherwise they will have no instructions). If you can do the same for ATOT2 I would appreciate it.

EDIT2: If a user does not have an AT account (because they are a RL friend recommended by one of our members), it is acceptable for them to register under their MMHK player name and send me an in-game message confirming their registration.

I'm letting gold mass from my upgrades so I can squash my gold mine back down and improve instead of upgrading, I think I was short sighted and I have 2 level 5 heroes atm anyway

Clearing my outer ring does not seem in my realm of possibility for at least 3 more days, my score looks so awful :(

Seriously... Anyone have a private forum we can host on?

Also, what do people recommend as their three classes for their three heroes?

Knight/builder/??? for the defense hero?

Fighter/barb/??? for offense hero?

Third=???/???/???

Leader with the ability harangue is the most important at the start. Harangue gives a flat +5 to a unit's power. This translates into a 5% boost for a starting unit with a power of 100. That's a much bigger bonus than any of the skills that fighter will give you. Once you get to the T4+ units harangue is not as important. But out of the gates, it's probably the best skill out there for offense.

My main attacker will be leader + fighter + summoner.

I have found that patience is a virtue in this game. Don't go into battles unless you can win them with low casualties, even if that means sacrificing honor. This is especially the case at the beginning where you will have units gifted, won, or from heroes that you cannot easily replace (e.g. Griffins for humans, ghosts and vamps for necros, etc). You should guard those carefully and try to only use them in cases where you will not lose any, such as overrunning the last stack.

Shoot for the level 2 recruiting buildings and you can upgrade your existing level 1 unites by hitting the upgrade button on the recruit screen for that unit. For necros, skeletons upgrade to skeleton archers, which is really really useful. Better yet, it's free. Once you get zombies, convert all your skeletons to archers and you should have quite a force of shooters.

Since the pace is so slow, I haven't yet found a reason to take anything but the maximum amount of time to construct a building or a mine. It takes longer, sure, but you've got time to kill. The savings in gold and resources is great, though. At max time, a building only costs 80% of the normal gold. You'll find that you will be out of gold most of the time anyhow, so anything you can do to conserve it is worth the time.

When you get the second level of skills does that stack on top of the first level or is it accumlative?

Example: Gold Digger
1st level gives you 3% more gold.
Does the 2nd level give you 6% more or 3% more for a total of 6%?

I'm pretty sure it's just 3% more for a total of 6%

I don't think so, I have harangue lvl 2 and it's giving me +10 attack (5 for lvl 1 and 5 for lvl 2)

I've activated 4 people, but I still have 2 registrations that were not accompanied by PMs - read the directions folks. :)

SO it seems better to get all the level 1 skills before moving on to level two get get the best bang for your bucks.

My Magic guild level 2 just finished this morning. Now I have access to 1 level 1 light spell (bless) and 1 level 2 light spell (haste). There are 2 spells per level though, I wondering if I would get access to those or if I need to do something to get them. The scribe skill seems to open a slot in the spell book but I'm not sure you would get access to spells though.

Bless boosts defense (currently useless) and haste offense. The two missing ones do the inverse, so it might just be that you get one of each.

The other 2 spells are from a different school - you'd need to train your hero in the corresponding career to get access to those. For example, the Necropolis faction gets access to dark and summoning spells, but since my mage hero is only trained as a Dark Mage he can only use the ones from that school.

I think it is a scam. See this post on the mmhk forum.

1 post down...

Lords and Ladies,

The in-game “Invite your friends!” message that we reported as a scam last Thursday, September 2nd, turned out to be an automated message sent from legitimate Might and Magic: Heroes Kingdoms staff. We’re chocking this up to lack of communication between our numerous teams, and are glad to report that our valued players were not subject to a foreign scam. We apologize for incorrectly warning you, but in the end, we were only acting in your best interest by being as proactive as possible.

Thanks for your understanding,
-Might & Magic: Heroes Kingdoms Team

At the race today so won't log in today or probably till after I wake up tomorrow. At least this should alleviate my gold shortage a bit. Assuming my battle went per the calculator, I'll have cleared enough squares for one of the four outer rings, albeit non-continuous.

Also saw that I can build the next town hall upgrade for another 7k per day gold.
