how do you scout? Do you have to get that profession first?
No, zoom out to the region level, select a city, select a free hero, and you'll see options for scout/attack/siege/etc pop up around the city.

Yeah, same here, even gave my guy extra time. There's gotta be an better way to level up...?Nope, 0xp and the're out for 1 day. Not going to do that again with my main hero.
The Union is a way for two lords to come together, allowing a strong lineage to be formed through the campaigns. One month after the beginning of the War of Tears, you may start to search for the perfect partner.
For the three lines of development, it is advisable to choose a partner whose profile is opposite to yours. For example, if you are Domination > Honor > Wealth, a partner with Wealth > Domination > Honor would be preferable.
It is best to choose a partner with similar cultural affinities to yours: Inferno / Necro et Haven/Academy.
You are not obliged to play together afterwards.
Whether you are first or last in the rankings, having a good partner will bring the same number of points. This partner may also be first or last: only their profile counts.
You can wait until the last minute to link up, as this has no importance.
Your profile is determined by your average during the whole of the War of Tears. Your position (1st, 2nd, 2073rd...) determines your profile.
The Union allows you to win up to 60 extra Legacy points to spend on your next campaign. Careful though: it is your ranking on the final day that will determine your profile.
Enjoy the game!
The M&M HK team.
At the end of the War of Tears, the victory of an alliance will trigger a cataclysm that will annihilate your kingdoms. In her great wisdom, Asha will offer protection to those lords whose kingdoms are still active at the time of the cataclysm. This protection will allow them to survive and foster a legacy that will rebuild the family chateau and head off to conquer the new world.
You direct heir will have the strength of your bloodline and ancestors, and will begin his career by choosing up to 4 special abilities that will give him an advantage over newcomers. The number and strength of these abilities will depend on your performance over the current season.
Fight to the end, collect resources, and rack up victories, as this will maximize the strength of your descendants.
I got no problem waiting hours for a level 19 building to upgrade to level 20.
When I first start the game, you'd better have something for me to do again in 5 minutes to keep my attention. Or 10 minutes. Fuck, a half hour is pushing it but that's still one EIGHTH of the time I'm waiting for this stupid mine to get cleared.
Reading comprehension FTW.
Besides, I've played the fuck out of tons of browser games, so don't go acting like I don't know what I'm doing or have never done this before, noob.

Does demolishing a building and then rebuilding give you xp? (I can't see anyone doing this but if you got cash to spare).
As far as not having much to do when you check in on the game, I agree that there aren't a lot of micromanagement issues to take care of. I spend the bulk of my time (10 minutes maybe per day) trying to optimize my troops for a fight.
Like I'm only just now making my first attack against the outer ring, and it should net me 1600 some experience for my main hero. And that's because i'm attacking with a force that is only a little bit more than half the strength of the defending NPC force.

hmm thinking there's more to the end game than we know.
Seems you have to do well or start over when the season ends.
strategy/wiki ANYWHERE for this game?! or just the stuff from ubi?
the sequential slot based rock-paper-scissor system is making me think its going to be hard to have many overrun victories. only works out if they have a single type. otherwise you will crush the opponent you have bonus over, but then all the surviving units will take a beating.Starting out fighting without that calculator hurt. It might just be me and my units, but I feel gimped with fairly wimpy shooter units, and I won't get anything stronger until Liches, which seems several days away.
It'll take me that to recruit up the ~80 skeletons I need to begin to challenge the weakest of the outer ring squares. I need twice that many to not lose a ton on the fight.
Guys on the controlled zones, do you build research building or troop buildings?
I am planning to probably build research.
