FWIW,

Never said I wasn't comforable with choices. Someone create a new, good language and I'll be happy. Don't just copy C++, take out some great features, slow it down to a crawl in a virtual machine and call it something new.
Okay, I admit I put those words in your mouth. But they're a logical conclusion. You simply don't understand Java, or the reasons it has been called a watered-down C++. Most of those missing language features were DESIGN CHOICES by Sun engineers who are each much more intelligent than you are. You don't have to like Java, but you simply miss the point. It's a high-level applications programming language, not a systems programming language.

Hate Java all you want to; at the beginning and end of the day you simply don't even get it.

C# must have cherry-picked much of the philosophy of Java because it stinks so much eh? Only took them 6 years to do it too, and only because MS wasn't able to "embrace and extend" Java within the bounds of its license contract.

I don't see why you have to bring up that thread. It has nothing to do with what's going on now (except for the fact that you are misinterpreting what I am saying AGAIN). Reread that other thread and you'll see what I mean. Next (and listen carefully), I TOLD YOU WHY I HATE IT. I have a right to hate it for my own reasons. Quit trying to explain to me stuff I already know! Different people like different languages. I happen to like other languages and dislike this one. Live with it. Quit trying to force your crappy programming language on me!

I really like Microsoft. I have nothing against them. When they buy my company out and leave me jobless I will then hate them. Until then, YAY!

Microsoft, I believe, represents America partially with hardwork and determination.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA

I can't really explain it, but the hatred is pretty deep. I suppose if I had to choose one thing that I didn't like, it would be that there isn't a good IDE.

So you'll be making a career out of programming Visual Basic?

I suppose you tried Eclipse, Forte/Netbeans, and JBuilder.

If apple made thier windows actually maximize and minimize like the microsoft OSs I would be enitrely a convert to apple. Sounds small I know but to me it's a huge deal.

What's with this generation and it's overdog mentality?
