<< Nothing at Rutgers University in NJ 🙁 >>

Sup Rutgers..... I just graduated in May... back there now two nights a week for my MBA

PS: Fran sucks
PPS: Know anyone on the ski team?

I go to cypress college I want to go to this at fullerton college and I want to make sure that they would give me the software. Do you think that they would?

man, i lived in Fairfax and there's one on the 19th but i can't go since i'm attending Vriginia Tech. 🙁 It's 4hrs away

hey Rutgers peoples, i graduated in May too. I am actually here all the time now though, working at Rutgers.

RU Screw in effect!

I signed up for the UCLA one... When I signed up, it said there were 13 seats remaining. After I signed up, it said there were 15 seats remaining... How does that all work out?

Ummm.. yeah, at UMASS we get practically any software we want for free: applications, developer's tools, indexes, SDKs, DDK, platforms, servers, etc, through the MSDN Academic Alliance: http://www.msdnaa.net/

It works well. You want XP Pro? Visual Studio .NET? 2000 Server? No problem, just click on a link and download a full CD, or install it remotely from the campus network. Nice 🙂

yep...looks like the ucla site is full...it says -26 for seating right now lol, maybe they will just let people stand around though

Thanks! I'm going to the San Jose one! We should have a pre party for all the Anandtech'ers before the event! Maybe we could meet up?

I'm in at University of Washington.....now I just gotta find a campus map so I can figure out where the heck it is.....

Doh! Last year, MS had a bunch of a events here on the UM campus, including bi-weekly meetings for stuff.......they also had a company laison that you could order any piece of software through, with a "legitimate" reason. They also had lots of giveaways, I got 2 copies of Win2K, but this year, nothing, and ontop of that, they hold the V.net event at Wayne State?

Guess I'm visiting Detroit 3/20. 🙂

Nice, it looks like a lot of people are going to take advantage of this deal. And for those graduating or looking for internships, be sure to bring your resume along. There's always at least one HR person taking resumes at these things.

One thing though, there's no academic restrictions on Office XP and Windows XP, but the VS.NET is an academic version. Basically that means you can't develop any commercial software legally using it. Freeware is okay though. I don't believe its crippled in any way other than the licensing.

thanks for the heads up, i signed up.....should be interesting. by the way, only a few spots left for ucla so sign up now!

Bummer, 6 or 7 hour drive for me, but just a quick reminder. a lot of schools give away (or charge next to nothing) for a lot of software. For me, microsoft OS's are free, as well as the full Office suite.

there are apparently no more spots left for ucla...they have negatives spots? lol but it keeps letting people register so maybe there is just some error on the page

I signed up for the UW one, but sure I will be able to make on a Wednesday night since I don't live on campus.
There's 898 spots left.

I signed up for the San Jose one earlier today and got a confirmation email, but it didn't give me a seat number or location.... Did this happen to anyone else who signed up for the San Jose location?
