Jaegar- I hope it works out for you, but don't expect it to. Play it smart and try to move on. Good luck.

Nobody finds it a bit suspicious at all that the gf confessed all this in SUCH GREAT DETAIL so long after it happened? Even including how far she went in the act, how long their little sessions where, the emails etc. I can imagine cheating on someone but I mean this girl took it to another level. Something else is going on here...

Well, I dragged the details out of her bit by bit. I just had to know. There was about a week gap between when I found out and their last "date". At that point I guess I was in denial and the full impact didn't hit me until about 2-3 weeks later.

Another thing I don't think I mentioned was that after the first confession she kept right on lying to me about the details. How long, how many times, where...all that. It was only later that I forced her to tell me the truth.

Like I said...they have no guilt.

Do hope things turn sunny for you quickly on the financial side so you can rid yourself of that waste.

Jeez, she sure keeps her "inner circle" close hold and tight, huh?

Jaeger, maybe this should be PM, but whatever: do you have enough open on a CC to maybe get you moved and pay for first months' rent? The longer you stay, the worse it's gonna get.

If not though; I applaud your resolve to "stick it out until you can get out." Just whatever you do, don't jump into the sack w/her, no matter how horny you may feel. You'll mess everything up if you do. <--just had to say it...for your own good.

One of the reasons the house is in her name is that her credit was perfect while mine was...not. If things get totally unbearable I can always borrow a little from my parents but I think once you get past 25 you shouldn't do that anymore. They spent their whole lives working like slaves for my sister and I, so I hate asking for anything else.

Unfortuantely his family is full of cops so my revenge optins are limited.

heh, cops are overrated. My family is full of them too. If it was me, I'd break every bone in his body, and every window in his car. All while him never seeing who is doing it.

but I'm cool like that.

Well...fwiw...I moved in w/my dad after I sold my house when my divorce was finalized. Stayed there for a couple of months. I got a new job in the meantime and that enabled me to move out much sooner than I was initially thinking. 'course, it's a rather large house a bit further out so there was plenty of room for me (and my daughters when I had them).

That way, I wasn't asking for money...just help to get me back on my feet.

It sounds like you go out of your way to help people out a lot. I'm sure you're parents know this and would be glad to help you in a time of need. Don't be afraid to ask for help from others. At a time like this, you deserve it.

Imagine if you didn't find out now. You could have spent decades with this girl and then, when you're old and have nothing left in life, found out that she was cheating on you all along. But you found out now and now decades later. Do you know how LUCKY you are? You're young, and still have all the time in the world!

So forget about her and go ENJOY LIFE! Get drunk, party, have lots of sex! You'll feel better, you'll feel GREAT! And years down the road, you'll find another girl, and by then, you'll be able to trust someone again, because there ARE people out there who deserve your trust. Everything's for the best man, trust me. No matter how grim it seems right now, years later, you'll look back at this with a smirk and wonder how it could have upsetted you that much.

Stop obscessing. Stop playing the scene over and over in your head. Like Anthony Robbins says, spend 20% of your time focusing on the problem (i believe that's done with), and 80% on the SOLUTION. Forget revenge. Just let it go, get her out of her life as soon as possible. Don't worry, life will take care of revenge for you. She'll die of jealousy when she sees you with a a hotter girl a few months down the road.

I don't see what the big problem is. The couple years you've been together is not that long. You'll get over her quickly.

Have some fun, shag as many chicks as you can. If you have to live with her for now, that's all the more fun you can have. Bring some hottie home (preferably a screamer) and go at it all night. It'll drive the girlfriend insane because it means she's not in control. That's really what this is about. She told you about this because she wants to put you in your place; she wants to make sure you know she's in charge of your emotions.

Well, i can definitely understand how you feel....a similar situation happened with me earlier this year, except it was sex. She confessed about it because of supposed guilt, but it was real close to what you describe, down to her lying about the details. I only found out what REALLY happened after i talked to the guy she cheated with. Every emotion and feeling that you describe is pretty much exactly what i went through--it does get better. Hopefully after a week, you're starting to feel a little better. You'll be ok in the end, though.

Update: Still in hell. But I did get some nibbles on jobs after 2 months of nothing so that's good.

Funny, I seem to keep finding new things to feel bad about. His dad isn't just any cop, he's one of the assistant chiefs of the Phoenix Police. Thus, the family is loaded. And since money is one of ther things she always bitches about...

I wouldn't really say that qualifies her to be "loaded", although maybe I'm out of touch with how much assistant police chiefs make. My dad's a project manager for IBM, he makes some fairly large amt. of money, but I still bitch about money - because I refuse to ask him for money.
