Some of those white middle class people were inspired by that. They definitely were in places like Staten Island, suburban and rural parts of America.

Some of them voted because he was a "businessman, and a job creator with swagger. They stayed home in 2012, they stayed home in the nineties. They don't know much about politics.

So Trump supporters bought into the lie. I'm sure they were inspired by the hate and lying Trump was spewing, but other middle class people saw him for the fraud he is and he lost the vote. If you wish to add ignorant and gullable middle class supported Trump, then sure. I can go for that. BTW, I didn't vote for Hillary either.

The main difference with Watergate. With those hearings, we learned new stuff and public opinion shifted. With these hearings, when it comes to most Republicans - No one's mind will be changed.

Your first problem is believing that the center resides somewhere between Democrats and Republicans. The reality is thatthe center is somewhere to the left of Democrats. Remaining in what you consider to be the center may make you better than Republicans but worse than Democrats. You don't want to be worse than Democrats, do you? How about you try to better than them instead?

I know job creation. Yes, there was a lot of jobs created under Obama, but there was too much excessive regulations. He overreacted to the Wall Street crash.

Unemployment could have been below 3%.

There are memes with lines like that on facebook. My aunt shared such an image. I became so effing depressed. It shocks me how people (relatives, no less!) I consider to be good people voted for trump. Like, wtf led you to think he was in any way a good candidate?
Pretty sure most of my social circle 40 and below did not though, heh.

I voted for Hillary. However, I knew during the campaign she had some flaws. She could have campaigned more in places like Indiana, Missouri, Tennessee, etc. (places her husband won in '92 and '96, his own VP Gore couldn't even carry those states in '00.

In the U.S. a full-employment economy more realistically is closer to the 3 percent to 4 percent mark, a level reached only a handful of times during the past half-century, in the 1950s, the latter part of the 60s and during the heady years of the dot.com boom in the 90s.

Yes, unemployment can be 2%-3%. I'm not an idiot. I'm an American worried about jobs and the economy like everyone else here. The economy could have been much much better under Obama.

Part of Trump's election was racial and economic. That is what you don't understand.
