It's all good. I know ch33zw1z is from western MA so I was just curious if he is that far west.

Yup, he's my rep. I like him, seems like a good dude afaik. I certainly wasn't gonna a rock that position this time around. Need some older prog's on the d-squad!

Yeah, I'm in Springfield area. Hail from the sticks.

I watched close to 2.5 straight hours from ~9AM Pacific until 11:30AM when the local network affiliate suddenly and with no warning cut to local coverage of the catastrophic atmospheric river caused flooding, can you say "global warming" coverage?

My impression was that Cohen was very well prepared and held his ground admirably, parried the blows from the GOP, again and again with aplomb. The GOP with maybe one exception in that time came off as brutal and heartless. Seemed like more than 1/2 of the Republicans had prepared attacks that they would suddenly pull out of their holsters. I got sick of that and got to the point where I hit FF to skip the rote diatribes. I'm thinking it's a straight up curse to be a Republican nowadays.

Try CSPAN in the future. They carried it uninterrupted, no "analysis" telling you what you should think and they repeated the entire thing again that evening. My go-to source.

Nah I think Wiz lives close to Springfield. I live next to Hudson & have a listing there if you have any friends looking to buy a place

I have no friends down there with any money, all live paycheck to paycheck.

Dude I live in Boscawen, NH it's just north of Concord I'm more in the sticks than you. How often do you get to hit Six Flags?

Back on topic.

I am looking forward to Cohen appearing again on the 6th. Does anyone know if this is an open session?

When forced to reflect, I think Cohen had an epiphany. That moment of realization, that "My God! What have I done? How could I have been so wrong, so foolish?" moment. So he confessed to get right with himself & hopefully with the world. He'll do his time as penance.

I agree, he said he did have one of those "OMG what have done?" moments the other day while testifying before the Oversight Committee. I could tell he truly had that kind of moment, and I am positive it happened while he was looking at his wife one day.

Please forgive my inexperience. CSPAN, how would I access that? The display I was watching was tuned to ABC TV, IIRC. It's also connected to a PC with internet access. Was that CSPAN coverage over the internet or do I need a cable/dish/etc. subscription to access those coverages? Or is there a (free) Roku channel where I could access it (the display has embedded Roku TV, a TCL 43" 4K I recently acquired).

BTW, ABC TV had no analysis going on, it was uninterrupted straight coverage for something like 2.5 hours (I tuned in after it had started, so don't know when it started), right up to the moment where it abruptly and with zero warning cut to the local affiliate's studio where local (No. Calif) flood coverage was the story. I saw later (IIRC) that the day's hearing actually was about 7 hours!

Or that Clinton's lawyer and the Dems handed him a script. I liked the part of his epiphany that caused him to lie again to Congress. I guess he will get everything he wants.

Lying hasn't been an issue for the last 3 years so what's the problem now??

Ouch. Today Cohen gave the committee copies of the statement with edits allegedly made by the Trump legal team that he delivered when he testified in 2017.

This would be the same statement that they flatly denied editing.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/06/politics/michael-cohen-testimony-congress/index.html

Michael Cohen on Wednesday provided the House Intelligence Committee with new documents showing edits to the false written statement he delivered to Congress in 2017 about the Trump Organization's pursuit of the Trump Tower Moscow project into the 2016 campaign season, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.

The documents Cohen provided are intended to further explain his public testimony last week, in which Cohen said that President Donald Trump's then-personal lawyer Jay Sekulow made changes to his statement to the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, and that it was reviewed ahead of time by lawyers like Abbe Lowell, an attorney for Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, the President's daughter and son-in-law who are both White House advisers.

An aspect of the Cohen testimony I missed had to do with his efforts to suppress all of Trump's school records. Trump has claimed he was number 1 at Wharton, among other things. He also repeatedly accused Obama of being "a terrible student" undeserving of admission to Columbia and Harvard.

Turns out Cohen's testimony is corroborated by school officials and others. Due to pressure from wealthy donor friends of Trump, his records have been locked away.

In 2011, days after Donald Trump challenged President Barack Obama to “show his records” to prove that he hadn’t been a “terrible student,” the headmaster at New York Military Academy got an order from his boss: Find Trump’s academic records and help bury them.

The superintendent of the private school “came to me in a panic because he had been accosted by prominent, wealthy alumni of the school who were Mr. Trump’s friends” and who wanted to keep his records secret, recalled Evan Jones, the headmaster at the time. “He said, ‘You need to go grab that record and deliver it to me because I need to deliver it to them.

I know this is a shock, but I think this effort to hide Trump's academic records may suggest that he just isn't an entirely truthful person.

And a dumbfuck who probably just barely passed and got into Wharton on rich white guy affirmative action: his daddy made a yuge donation.

And although he claimed to be top of the class he did not show up in any of the recognition or dean's list for the year he graduated.

Come on there could be many reasons he didn't want his records public! Like maybe he was working for the CIA and his records could uncover a super secret teenage spy program! That must be it! Trump was a teenage spy and that is how he knows more than all the intelligence community. I should go over to /r/TheDonald I would be a hero for uncovering this!

Here is the funny thing about Trump. Normally nobody would give a shit about his grades some may like the weird group that hounded Obama but it would be a small fraction of the people. Since he has made such grandiose claims about being really, really well educated and really, really smart. I kind of want to see them.

Also to be clear, Trump did not go to Wharton as the term is commonly used. Generally saying 'I went to Wharton' refers to their doctoral or MBA programs while he just got his BA from there.
